I was just over at my friendly local Amazon store ( ) and whilst adding Dragon Harper to my Wish List for Christmas, I noticed a new Petaybee book is due to be released.

Am I complete blind munchkin and totally missed any announcement of the due date of releases for this one?

And does anyone know if the Children of Petaybee series (possibly my title and not Anne's!) is going to be limited to a trilogy, or are Anne and Elizabeth going to be writing back in this world again? (And hopefully back in the adult part of the world as I'm not enjoying the romps of the kiddies as much as the first 3!)

I'd much rather have more books about the adults. I'm not sure if I particularly want to read more about the twins. Maelstrom was pretty bad.

Only "pretty bad"? I had to really force myself and struggle to finish reading it.

I agree but am afraid the other Annie will keep writing as long as people buy them, and... why shouldn't she?

Oh indeed, of course. But at some point a concern for the literary integrity must crop up?

Erm... when you need to live from the proceeds?
No, Gidge, that only happens in novels and to those having other income, too...

LOL No, that's true.

The Twins of Petaybee
1. Changelings: Book One of The Twins of Petaybee
2. Maelstrom: Book Two of The Twins of Petaybee

Are you talking about these?

Somehow I have not seen them before.

Did anyone read them? Are they good?

The Rowan is my favourite!

"The name rowan is believed to derive from the Norse runa - "a charm". It was often planted outside houses to ward off witches. On May Day a spray of rowan leaves was hung over doors to repel evil, and wells dressed with rowan to keep witches away. The rowan, or mountain ash, is found commonly in Scotland, sometimes clinging to a rock face."

I have. They're very poorly written and have very little plot.

I've heard they're horrid from people that have read them. So I haven't been eager to give them a try myself...

Nina, I've read Changelings and on a scale of 1 -10 I'll give it a 4.

Such poor ratings for Anne McCaffrey books.

So I will wait a while to get hold of them.

Thank you for answering!
