Default Favorite F'nor Scene [Equal Time]

I just think F'nor (and Canth and Grall) deserves equal time, too. While we're waiting for Lady M.'s awesome portrait, we may as well be productive, right? (I know, I know, it's a matter of opinion on whether oogling F'nor is actually productive, but hang with me here, please)

Anyway, what is your favorite F'nor scene? (Or Canth scene?)

I’ll post just those I can think of right now:
1) The first scene in DQ, when F’nor and Canth wake up, and tease each other (I’m sure everybody knows which scene is that, so I won’t describe it all)
2) The already said scene of F‘nor not remembering Brekke’s name while visiting Lessa, Brekke and Manora in the Lower Caverns.
3) Impressing Grall.
I’ll post others when I remember them.
Oh, yes, the scene in MHoP when F’nor Impresses. This was, at first (although I knew what was going to happen) a sad scene, as F’nor stood at the side, and let others Impress, and that Robinton needed to shout for F’lon a couple of times before he could show him that his second son actually did it.

I love Canth when F'nor is trying to figure out how to approach Grall.

DQ (p67). Canth being totally cool.
Quote:
"Can you hear other dragons?"
"Yes." She whirled and was gone.
"Of all the-" F'nor was astounded. "Why didn't you tell me?" he demanded of Canth as he strode into the sun-baked wallow behind the weyr and stood glaring at his brown dragon.
You never asked, Canth replied. I like Brekke.
"You're impossible," F'nor said, exasperated, and stared back in the direction Brekke had gone. "Brekke?" And he stared hard at Canth, somewhat disgusted at his obtuseness. Dragons as a rule did not name people. ...
I want to get wet.
Also, there's a one-liner in DF that that I love for the foreshadow-y irony, when they're discussing setting up a Weyr on the Southern Continent (p220):
Quote:
"I hope two bronzes are enough. Pridith may have a mind of her own, come matingtime."
"You can't turn a brown into a bronze!" F'nor exclaimed

My favourite scene was F'nor impressing Grall... I love the way Canth warned F'nor that she was there... "F'nor...do not move.. open one eye carefully" (DQ pg 80), and the way Canth spoke to Grall was really sweet...

*sigh*... I always had a soft spot for Canth..

So how would a picture of this work?

F'nor lying on the sand.

Canth's head in the background.

Grall on F'nor's Chest (or flying just over his chest).

It might be to like the picture on the cover of one of the editions of DQ. But, it isn’t a bad idea. Maybe, to change it a little, F’nor with a lifted arm towards Grall that’s above his head. Or, the exact scene from the book: F’nor with one opened eye, with Grall above him, and Canth behind F’nor, laying still.

If I recall correctly, there's actually a rather nice sketch of it in the corner of one of the pages in DLG (unfortunately I don't own a copy of it, so I can't look it up).

Yes that is always how I pictured it...

I always liked the scene where F'nor revealed everything to Lessa in Dragonflight. Just the intensity he had during that scene, the hard edge--it spoke a lot to F'nor's character.

Which scene is that exactly? I don’t remember that.

It's the beginning of the part with the mating flight (p113-118 in my copy); F'nor explains about the long Interval and F'lon's death and how R'gul became Weyrleader and why sending K'net to raid was such a spectacularly bad idea.

My favorite is (like many others') F'Nor's impression of Grall. Canth was directing the whole thing, telling F'Nor exactly what to do.

Canth comforting F'nor at the destruction of Monaco Bay Weyr (The tsunami) was cool.

F'nor impressing Grall is definitely one of the best scenes.

There is.

That one ranks as my personal favorite of pictures of F'nor, as it shows what a looker he is! I don't remember the page number, but it's on the pagfe where the Southern Weyr section is. I always wonder where Canth is/was, though. Did he take the picture? Or is he too modest to appear? My second favorite part of that pic is the smug look on little Grall's face; she has him wrapped around her talon, and she knows it!

There is a part of SoP where Canth hops between time and place without being told, and F'nor likes his dragon's initiative. Browns rule the world!

*cough* Except he's not the first dragon to show initiative beyond his rider. Just to be contrary.

And to keep with the thread, I always was fond of that little scene in Dragonflight where F'lar has just won the Weyrleadership and F'nor marches in with his head high and a "bite me" glint in his eye.

Well, both he and F’lar deserved it after everything R’gul put them through. F’nor is always, I think, calmer than his brother, but I’m sure even he couldn’t stand the whole ‘’ let’s just sit back, and not do anything’’ policy that R’gul made them endure.
