The Original Pern Trilogy First Ed Question
I'm looking at dates and I'm not sure. It looks like the paperback of Dragonflight is the true first ed, and both Dragonquest and The White Dragon have hardcover first eds. Is this accurate?
Same with the Crystal Singer trilogy from what I can see?

Correct, the paperback version is the actual first edition.
Then you have the Waler & Co first edition Dragonflight. After that you have the Del Rey hardcover editions of Dragonflight, Dragonquest and White Dragon. You can find all this, and more, in the series of Collecting Highlights.
