Dear me, totally forgot to start the topic!

AND PEOPLE, PLEASE STICK TO TWO (2) PHOTOGRAPHS! or else delete what you posted earlier. if you have more to show just start a thread in exhibit hall, we'll enjoy that just as much. so... NO MORE THAN TWO IN HERE! *wags finger*

I think I already posted ths heron close up, here's another shot of the patient animal. It was shot ata littel pond (an old dyke breakthrough) in the town where I live.

And this one I call "Sheep Turd", shot a few years ago at a friend's farm in Lochem (east of The Netherlands).

I'm posting two bison photos that I took when I was doing my internship at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, in North Dakota.

"Bison Blockade"

Motor vehicles do not have the right-of-way in this park...

"Babysitting"

I'm pretty sure this bison cow was watching over several of the babies, not just hers. That happened a lot.

Uh... no herons, no sheep, no dog, no cat, no cow, no horse, no snake, no lizard and no bison.

Does that make your choice easier?

Duck billed platypus is still allowed. How about fish? Here is a picture taken at Deep Sea World in North Queensferry. It's feeding time.

Kenda by blondmom989, on Flickr

This is Kenda, born December 1, 1983 at the Ecotarium in Worcester, Mass. This "science center" was a favorite visiting place as Pam and her siblings grew. So we saw Kenda's mom and then her mom and dad, and then Kenda since she was first born. I went to visit her again last fall.

Heh. I've seen our zoo's polar bears trying to conceive. My kids asked why they were hugging, cause that's all it looked like to them.

I need to reload my photo editing software to get my pics ready! (recently upgraded my OS...)

Here's one that's not a:
heron, sheep, dog, cat, cow, horse, snake, lizard, bison, or even a duck-billed platypus. Or ghoti.

I have a photo to suit but as I'm not at my regular compie, I will endeavour to post asap but it may be Monday yet

Okay I'm home now (from having saved 3 lives after donating blood and I'm dead-tired YIKES!) and I've lost the photo - I swear it was on my kitchen bench, waiting for me and.......................but this was the closest I could give you:

The photo I had was similiar and was in a magazine and I cut it out to show Junior when he came home from his school excursion but as I said, it's gone walkies for the moment.

Well, I'll post one new animal, and one that's already up. We'll start with the new on, a group of prairie dogs at my zoo. I love the little one stretching to be as tall as the adults.

Then a sweet one of my cat Cedric. The color balance is off, but I can't fix it at the moment...

I don't normally post here as my photography a) is pretty poor, b) tends to be of thin films, deposition systems etc, but I was quite pleased with this image taken with my point and click digital camera.

Oooh! Isn't that the prairie dog exhibit that they said "they'll never get out of here" and they'd broken free in less than 12 hours?

Yes I did see those polar bears "hugging". I couldn't think of a nice way to say it.

Platinum is that snake going to stay that little forever or is it a baby? He/she is lovely.

Jube is that a hedgehog? I've never seen one and I always pictured them as being bigger.

It is a hedgehog and a baby one at that! The photos were of "it" curled up in a little ball then opened up as you see there. As I said it was one where I found it in a magazine and was planning to show my son but it went walkies so had to remember what it looked like to put it up here. It's very cute! I'd put more up but I think I've got something else I would like to put up but not home at moment.

They appeared in our yard one afternoon. NATURALLY after a good rain and my windows show the dirt. But we snapped these two to show Kayleigh when she got home.
