Well, nature pics are inevitable in this thread I think Both of mine are taken in my wife's lovely garden:

The first one I call: The Last of the Roses (because it was! and because the background is made of those glorious autmn colours))

And the second is a zoomed in photograph of the pearly white plumes of pampa grass offset against the red leafs of the japanese cherry tree

Especially because of these trees (we have two) and two other trees I have to stretch a big net over our pond in autumn. If too many leaves end up in the water and start rotting it will upset the ecological balance of it, which is extremely good since we had it (read: clear water).

I took this one yesterday. Corn stubble, fall trees and a tractor.

"Shades of Autumn"

The view from my front yard. Almost a color wheel, what with the green, the red, the orange-yellow, the blue...

This is a close up of the maple tree in our garden; taken in 2006 as it hasn't reached its full glory this year (since we just moved it). It's a cross between a sugar maple and a red maple.

I was walking across the park today and caught this little chap with a mouthful of conker. Unfortunately I only had my phone with me.

Took me a second to see the squirrel... fortunately I knew that a "conker" is a kind of nut, or it might have taken me longer!

I just got back from a weekend campout with my family, so I may have a few more to post here once I get them off the camera...

Conker = Nut of the horse-chestnut tree (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conkers).

I love everyone's photos. I really had to laugh when I got to AnnMarie's red onions.

Gosh: those signs take me back to Suffolk when the USAF was at Bentwaters and houses used to sprout odd signs like "81st Tactical Fighter Wing: Lawn of the Month"
