Is it okay to put up something that's displayed behind a window? Mine's of the Myer Christmas window display. I'm hoping to get pictures of this year's version, whatever it might be as well:

No, this is not a reflection but a peculiar facade in Antalya in Southern Turkey.

And this is a pretty special window by the famous Spanis architect Gaudi near the entrance of Parc Guell in Barcelona.

I remembered this photo, but it's taken me this long to find it in my woefully disorganized photos.
It's from Barley Hall,York ,England. The only remaining window made of horn in England.

Another from York,,sadly my ones from York Cathedral turned out poorly.
I love that as in most of Europe the old and new are often side by side. And Tudor being my favourite dynasty (royalty geek that I am) was tickled to find this Tudor in York Center.

Great windows everyone.

As usual Hans, I'm thrilled by the exotic things (windows in this case) that you take pictures of.

Cheryl where's your window located?

I love the historic look at the horn window.

Cheryl, I like your first photograph for its artistic value and feel. Well captured.

Blondmom, that stained glass windows in St. Louis is very beautiful and it looks expertly photographed. I'd love to see it bigger.

Kat, your first photo has some real historical value and showed me something I had never seen before. That's a very nice, old building in your second pic. One wonders how many of the original windows will be original ones

P'ter, your first photo brought a smile but your second is my personal favurite of the whole series. It has that dreamlike quality and grainyness of old black and white I love and furthermore, it has some mystery because it seems that you see a person in it which seems to have no head because the shot is too blurry, IF it is a person! In this picture that is a quality when in another one it would be a defect. I can't help making up stories around this picture and the blurry figure. Very mysterious and the stuf of which mystery novels are made. Actually, this could very well be the cover of a mystery novel A wonderful shot!

I love the wide variety of windows that have been posted; a surprisingly (to me) interesting subject matter!

My favorites of this set are Pam's window (pretty little window surrounded by such nice greenery), Hans's second window (beautifully intricate), and Kat's horn window (unusual and pretty).

My first one was taken in Albany, NY, at the top of Corning Tower (AnnMarie recognized it right away; I took it when she took some of us MoMers on a tour of Albany when we were there for AlbaCon). My second was my own living room, taken in the narrow window of time between when the room was painted but before the new curtains were installed.

Hans: the figure HAS a head but it's obscured by the tree in front of him. If I remember: it was Alan Shearman (a pottery student) heading for the craft studios. I took it summer 67 from my room in college.

The other one was just one of those things one sees. What tickled me was that, if you were over 6 foot, the sign was also a hazard.

Kat, I remember the York Gather in 2003. I think you, Lanen and I toured York Minster together. Here is my picture of the Rose Window:

If it's any consolation, Kat, this is the only York Minster window picture I have that worked. The others are either blurred or over-exposed.

A good set of window pictures overall. Cheryl, Hans and Blondmom, I really like your collections. Cheryl, I love the impact of your first picture and the cosiness of the second. Hans, I like the humour of your first and the shape and symmetry of the second. Blondmom, it's the colours of your windows I find really striking.

You may have missed out on the Minster, but that horn window is absolutely unique.
