Priceless, Cheryl!

Here's mine:

It says: "Presented to the nation by the National Art Collectors Fund 1914". I readily believe that, but presented what exactly...? Picture was taken in London, next to the Houses of Parliament, February 2007.

and I simply can't resist to put up another, very recent picture, too:

Testing the power of my flash at the King James Hospital in Perth late on an November evening. It was only much later that I realised something was missing . . .

Someone's completely dotty and I know it's not you, Farclas, it took me a minute to work it out

I missed this topic while I was away on holiday. Here is my late entry:

This is a castle in the Cairngorms National Park, visible from the A9, which Lanen and I visited in 2004. I can't remember the name of the castle, and we can't find it marked in a map. But there's more than just the name missing.

Hans, the caption on your plinth should end with, "Stolen in 1929 by..."

StevenB - Great picture; great sky!

It's Ruthven barracks, built by the London government to help control the Highlands after the 1715 rebellion. It's just across the Spey from Kingussie:

Thanks for the ID and the information, Farclas. I normally photograph a signpost as a reminder, but on this occasion I didn't.

By the way, the clock photograph is great - perfect for this topic.
