I have, I have, well re-reading the brainship series after I got "The Ship Avenged" by SM Stirling off ebay. All smiles now. Very excited! My only disappointment was not getting the new "Changelings" book as it hasn't come into my local bookstore yet. That's probably why I need a new fix on Petaybee. I've read the dragonriders of pern so many times. Just gotta love it. Although it would be interesting what the new "Freedom" book will be and how it works out for all our favourite characters.

Anne isn't writing a fifth "Freedom" book and has never said that she would I guess a certain amount of understandable wishful thinking might have been misinterpreted in a kind of "Chinese whispers" type round?

There is not going to be another book as far as we know. Reread the last couple of posts - that's what we've been trying to say! We're just talking about what we'd like to have in another book if there WAS another book - BUT THERE'S NOT.

Dragon's fire is set to be released later this summer or early fall. Co written with her son Todd.

ARC's have been circulated.

If you've got the money you can get this ARC and read Dragon's Fire next week!

Yes but. It's not JUST Anne is it? and Co-written with Todd is not the same. Oh, well, back to argueing with librarians and hunting around 2nd-hand bookstores

You still argue with librarians? For shame! I've convinced my local one of my innate superiority by now!

Now I shall go and preen. *preen preen* *preen preen*
