I've acquired two more anthologies that were still missing in my Pern Short Story sub-Collection:
I finally managed to buy the one missing book in the three editions of "Analog 7". I already owned the 1969 Doubleday hardcover and the 1970 Belmont paperback. I now also have laid my hands on th Dobson Science Fiction Hardcover from 1975. Not the best of copies though the book is in much better state than the dustjacket, which has severe discolouration on spine, top and right side. You don't see this book come round too often for just a few euro though, so I bought it. All of these Analog 7 books hold the original first Pern short "Weyr Search". ![]() I also found the trade paperback of Top Fantasy, ed. by Josh Pachter, the hardcover edition of this book I still need. I do see them now and then but why people are asking such relative high prices I don't know. It's not a very special book. Like with the previous book I don't see many of these coming by for a nice low price (important for this subcollection since they hold the same story every time). This copy was 2 UK pounds ($4) despite it being not the best of copies with some slight damage to the cover. It holds the short story "The Smallest Dragonboy". ![]() I've got a goodly number of the anthologies/books holding short stories now (about 70) but am still missing a good two dozen...
