Default World Book Night 2011

Hi guys!

I was just wondering how many of you did something for the first ever 'World Book Night' this year? I was lucky enough to be picked as a 'giver', as well as receiving two free tickets to the official launch in Trafalgar Square. The event was covered by BBC 2 (Apparantly I was on TV. Unfortunately I was out at the time, actually giving out my books [this was the next day when it was shown]) but my grandad taped the 3-hour book-program for me, so I get to watch it the next time I'm at home).

For those of you who haven't heard of it, the WBN website is HERE.

...and for those of you who are interested, I've done a blog post (complete with two videos...I'm getting all high tech!) on Inspired-Quill, HERE.

I have never heard of the event but it sounds really interesting. Promoting reading is always a great idea!

It's good to hear you were involved Sara. And great to see it up on your website!

Never heard of this either...but it sounds like an excellent idea. We promote younger readers here by buying and donating interesting books for them to read.
