Default I'm bored.

Sorry folks, i haven't been on in ages. I'm stuck in Cape Cod. With my sibs, parents, and grandparents all using the laptop, whose internet access when the neighbors have thier network up, i haven't gotten on. We rented a house with a pool, but we keep finding dead animals in there. Then today we went for a 24-mile bike ride. I am desperately trying to get a tan, without avail. I keep getting scorched. It's so pitiful, especially since my mom is Italian, and tans A LOT. My puppy is going crazy here and so am I since I could only bring like 4 or 5 books! I've read them all 5 times all ready! AHHHH!!!

honey used sunblock. A very low sunblock. Like 8 if you can find it. That may even be too low. Don't just go stark white into the sun for a long period of time. Make it gradual or you will get nothing but a scorching!!! Ouch!

May I recommend that next time you have such a small quantity of books allowable that you opt for the collected works of Shakespeare, War and Peace , and the rest in omnibus editions of Anne. With the first two, if you get bored you can use them as weights for exercise.

BTW: I've read War and Peace 3 times.

There's an idea for you Larra - If you do enjoy writing at all, here's a good chance to write without distraction. Even if you don't have any writing supplies with you, it ought to be fairly easy to acquire some!

a) What kind of dead animals? *shudders*

b) For books, next time do what I did before going offline for a while earlier this year - I bought a PDA on e-bay and downloaded over 40 e-books to it, no prizes for guessing who was the author of most of them

c) Looking forward to reading the story you must be writing if you took Hans' and Cheryl's excellent advice

hi everybody, i'm officially back.
i actually did get like 15 or so pages of writing done for my story, so that was pretty good.
i still tried to get a tan, and became the tannest i've ever been, but you really couldn't tell by looking at me. my skin is so pale its blue.
then, i got a nasty cold sore from too musch sun, which was bad, but it went away.
for you folks questions the assorted dead animals that ended up inb our pool were
1. A vole (sorry ghyle)
2. a mole
3. a chipmunk
4. assorted frogs

another fun thing was that i got a teeny, ten-inch djembe drum from this shop in p-town. my parents complained about the noise, but it's fun, since i had a class about african drumming last year.
so, it was pretty good, after all, especially as i forced my parents to give my my own room, however small.

Now it's my turn to be bored. It's so quiet here, I'm contemplating posting under a pseudonym, and getting some controversy going. But such is not a big possibility.

Can I blame the school holidays?

Well, until you settle down in your new place, I don't expect any reams of deathless prose from you, sweet Shani. You've living in unsettled circumstances, and a young family to care about. But it's always lovely to hear from you.
