Default Dragons In The Mist

I came across this wonderful story with dragons and was sad to find out it has come out only in e-book form. Dragon Soul, book one of the Dragons In The Mist series by B.J. Whittington. It is one of those stories that was tough to put down and wanted more when I finished. I contacted the author asking if another was in the works and if this had ever been put out in printed form. Here is her reply:

Dear Tami,

Thank you so much for your kind words! Dragon Soul is my first attempt
at fiction, it is gratifying to hear you enjoyed it. The second novel,
Dragon Rebirth, is completed, it is going through final edits at this
time. If you would like to look at an excerpt,
http://bjwhittington.com/dragonrebirth.shtml has a small portion.

Hopefully, the second book will be ready in 6-8 weeks for upload to kindle.

I am sorry, at this time neither book is available in print. The
publishers will be making it available in print, subject to the sales
volume in the kindle format. I would appreciate you spreading the
word on your enjoyment of the first novel. Perhaps if more people can
find it, it will make enough sales to allow it to go to print. New
authors have a hard time breaking into Amazon?s top picks.

Once again, I thank you for your feedback. You have made my day!

This book is not only available in kindle but nook as well because I purchased it (only $2.99) from Barnes & Noble. I look forward to the second book with hope for more in the future.

I was surprised to hear that alot of new authors will not reach so many sci-fi/fiction readers. I know many many people that will not purchase any type of e-reader. They swear by the physical books and will not change. This book will not reach alot of readers because of this.

If you have an e-reader of some type, take a look.......this one is worth a peek.........happy reading.

I am one of those who will not be getting any type of e-reader. Unless I borrow one and become hooked of course !!

But this one sounds good, I shall have to keep my eye open

That was a nice response from the author wasnt it?

Getting an e-mail back is fun. I send messages to all authors of books I enjoy reading and love getting responses. I don't get angry with authors that do not reply.........I couldn't begin to imagine how much they may receive or how busy they might be so it's fun when I get a response.

Solitary: I will let you know when I finish. Things got busy and I had to put it down for awhile. But will be back at it soon. :-)

As far as e-readers, I was not a really big reader and I told my husband I wanted to buy one. He put me off for a couple of years and then finally I told him I just want one!! So I got it for Christmas and I am so in love with reading again. Much easier than carrying a book around and I can have a lot of books with me at all times. I know it is not for everyone, but I sure love mine.

Hi Tami & all!

I received an email telling me about this thread, I must say I am humbled at the kind words Tami has said, thank you.

I now have 2 dragon novels available on Amazon & Barns and Nobles in ebook format. Dragon Soul and Dragon Rebirth. Dragon Soul is also available now in paperback through Amazon.
I have read and own most of Anne McCaffrey’s novels, including her ship series and Damia series. Always have and always will treasure her works.

LOL I guess in some ways, her writings are what inspired me to learn the craft of writing fiction and produce my own offerings. I hope some of you will enjoy them.

Welcome Beverly. I see your prices have been going up although on B&N less than on Amazon. I wish you lots of succes and congrats on the Amazon deal!

Feel free to advertise yourself in the Other Authors forum here as much as you like though I understand if you'd rather want others to do it for you

Thank you, Hans.
Yes, due to reader feedback I sent both novels through another professional edit, which is not cheap. So, had to increase the prices on the books to cover the costs.

I am sorry if I violated any rules, that was not my intent.

Nah, you did not violate any rules. You are very welcome here, as I said, and also welcome to promote your book. I'm glad you have some succes. That's hard enough to attain nowadays!

Thanks Kindan,
one of the most enjoyable parts of this journey into fiction writing has been the wonderful feedback from the readers of the novels. I myself often get quite attached to a series, but have not previously experienced that attachment to my own writing. It has been quite an experience!

Hans, I thought I would follow your advise and post an announcement about the novels in your Other Authors forum. But, LOL, I cannot seem to find it!
