That was all of that one. You know what a short attention span some cats have. But the second one is underway. Copyediting is supposed to arrive April 2.

The Rowan is my favourite!

"The name rowan is believed to derive from the Norse runa - "a charm". It was often planted outside houses to ward off witches. On May Day a spray of rowan leaves was hung over doors to repel evil, and wells dressed with rowan to keep witches away. The rowan, or mountain ash, is found commonly in Scotland, sometimes clinging to a rock face."

Any time cats come into the conversation, I ask if they've read it yet, and tell them they might deffinately want to check it out. It's the literacy fanatic in me, I think.

Somebody has introduced a brand of cat food called ... tadah! ... "Applaws".

It purrports to be 'natural' catfood, but the stack I saw was chicken and pumpkin?

The chicken and pumpkin flavor is only for ginger cats, P'ter, cause pumpkin goes so well with ginger. Applaws would work better if it took A Paws.

at this, in that case if Peanut was here he would be purring up a storm! Our two like pumpkin when mixed in bread mix, homemade, for I drops some on the floor and I don't know which one at that time enjoy it. lucky it didn't have any chips in it at the time.

Kugai, sixty bucks? Good Lord, man! A billion trillion thanks! I knew books from here were more expensive in New Zealand and Australia but I had no idea they were that much more! That's like three times what they are in the US--I imagine shipping accounts for some of it but Lordy. They only gave me 25 author's copies and I have only 1 remaining, mostly because, knowing they weren't bought by a Brit publisher, I sent them to cat friends in Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland and South Africa. Leaves more money for kibble for their kitties and, I hope, spreads the word.

I know. A lot of things here are expensive because of the distances involved on transporting them down here to New Zealand, which makes it somewhat difficult to buy things I want. I'm paying this off over the next four weeks at Dymocks and looking forward to reading it.

It's one of the reasons I don't have the Star Trek and Babylon 5 DVD Boxsets as well.

About average for a NZ First Edition Hardcover book.

Compared to the Boxsets though, it's a drop in the bucket.

I am pleased that you send me the audio version of Catalyst along with the sticker, I got a start of a collection of media mostly music and the singers , along with one other local author who writes about early life in Wisconsin. I think that a great uncle might be in there for there is one with our last name Korleski.

Probably a lot cheaper there than what they are here the last time I checked

The Star Trek Boxsets were going from anything from $150 - $230 bucks depending on whether they were in the standard Cardboard Box to the Plastic Cases

The Babylon 5 ones were around $150

Kugai I just looked on Amazon and the sets sell here for about the same amount you're quoting--some of those boxed sets are just really pricey.

Really?

Hmmmmm I never really looked Online for them before - I just made my comparison due to the price difference between certain Anime I bought here and what they were selling for on some of the sites I looked through.
