Thanks for these pics Matt! I'd seen the Moreta's Ride omnibus (saw the art first without the title, and pegged what it was for) and have gotten my own copy, but I hadn't heard of/seen Dragonrider's Dawn yet.

Geez, great yet another series of books/covers to acquire...

But, WHY did they have to play with the titles? I'm surprised that's even ALLOWED!

Uh, sorry, thanks Matt! (was just a littel irritated)

Every omnibus I am aware of has a unique title. For example, The Dragonriders of Pern, The Harper Hall of Pern and On Dragonwings are new titles for a compilation of novels... Same thing here.

Must admit, hadn't read carefully enough to read they were omnibusses.

But... what irked me here was probably that the omnibus titles are so close (too close) to the title of one of the books. Ah well...

I love the cover art. I kind of agree with Hans, the titles can be misleading. I am noticing that with omnibusses. The titles are close and make you think you're getting a whole new book rather than a reprint.

Matt, I just saw this add in the SFBC, mailing that I also go this last week. I ordered it two days ago, but mostly like Hans, for the cover art. It will make a great reading copy also.

Mat, I just realized that you are a lovely collector to have around, you have found all sorts of wonderful things. Thank you for sharing it all.....

*sobs* Why didn't I get this in my SFBC mailing??! I would have gotten Dragonriders' Dawn just for the purdy cover, although I do need a new copy of Dragonsdawn anyway since my paperback is falling apart.

If I'm not mistaken, the Dragonriders' Dawn cover is by Les Edwards, right? Any chance anyone might be able to persuede him to post a wallpaper of it on his site?

FWIW - You can order the books on line without a mailing or being a member at sfbc.com

If that is indeed the case I can ask him, or his wife Valerie, if they are planning to put it up and that fans are asking for it

You can get in as a non-member by pretending to be interested in signing up, then you can search their catalog: http://www.sfbc.com/doc/full_site_en...homepage.jhtml
