Real life interfering .... - A Meeting of Minds

Hello everyone,

Sorry for being away from this forum so much!

Real life has had some unwelcome surprises for me lately. My husband was emergency operated in the stomach a month ago and is still in the process of recovering. It has been a bit hard on my small family. Work has not been easy. I have just been too tired for anything other than essentials.

Now I am looking forward to my holiday!

I wish a good summer to everyone in this forum!

Ouch, that must have been a nasty scare you got with your hubby so sick and even needing operating. Hope it's all looking better now?

Nina...so sorry to hear that you have been having a difficult time lately...especially with your husband having to go into the hospital for an operation. It is good to hear that he is recovering nicely...and that you are all going to be able to enjoy your summer holiday.

Yes, thank you, hubby is recovering very slowly.

However, I am getting a little like this

because he gets so frustrated of not being able to do as he wishes and finding his world reduced, and he gets tired and grumpy really quick - better to get out of the way

By the way, I have surprised myself by defending Annes books as science fiction on a science fiction book reading forum. I did not know that I had so much compiled knowledge just from reading her books and attending this excellent forum.

Missing my friends in here!

It was often planted outside houses to ward off witches. On May Day a spray of rowan leaves was hung over doors to repel evil, and wells dressed with rowan to keep witches away. The rowan, or mountain ash, is found commonly in Scotland, sometimes clinging to a rock face."
