The school should get in touch with the state's Department of Environmental Conservation, and track down a Bow Hunter Safety instructor. Putting someone clueless in charge of that class is a disaster waiting to happen! Heck, *I* can teach that class (Have done so, even). It isn't rocket science, but it IS dangerous.

Kat, the girls are BEAUTIFUL! Corgis are so much fun to watch. Lucy lives across the street from me, and she kinda rolls across the lawn.

Kibby is going to talk to the person in charge of PE department.

Kibby is getting better, now that she discovered which bow was for left handed people. I don't think the kids are getting their money's worth out of the class. It is a one credit class so the cost is 135 dollars.

Ouch, that sucks. Not to mention that it could be very dangerous, as arrows are lethal at a range of several hundred yards, even those shot with lighter trainee bows.

It was hot and humid yesterday for this time of year. I saw on a local news site that one Boston school district closed schools because of slippery floors. It seems the floors were cleaned and waxed over the summer and the high heat and humidity melted the wax, making the floors slippery! That's one of the most unusual reasons I've ever heard of for closing schools.

My daughter and a couple friends are out having dinner to celebrate the 28th anniversary of The Golden Girls (more likely an excuse to get together). That got me thinking what are my top three favorite tv series? First would be Star Trek (the original). Then comes MASH and third would be I Love Lucy. The Golden Girls are certainly in the top ten for me!

My fav, was Emergency. Now it is NCIS. I never really like sitcoms.

I hated both Mash and Star Trek. Mainly because my sister loved so much that she drove me crazy.

Goofy is barking at Hubby, because he came out of his room. Now she is barking at the broom Mom is trying to use. She is also trying to grab the broom. For some reason Mom does not find her helpful.

I am not sure she if she is trying to play with the broom or is scared of it, or a little bit of both. Knowing the person who owned her before I can believe that he hit her with a broom. I have been working with the dog to get her use to the broom.

Well, NCIS is not something I've ever watched. It does have David McCallum in it, of Man From U.N.C.L.E fame. I also loved that series. I met him once in England on the campus of New England College where I was a student. He was there to see a choir concert that his mother was singing in. Several of us spent about a half hour talking to him and he was very pleasant and not a bit stuffy.

Emergency! has to be one of my all-time favorites! I also loved MASH and I LOVE LUCY. These days, I watch NCIS, HAWAII 5-O, GRIMM, LONGMIRE, HAVEN...today's sitcoms do nothing for me. CALL OF THE WILDMAN starts off a new season tonight, and we've been watching DUCK DYNASTY lately. And I do NOT normally watch "reality" shows.

The original BSG was one I watched on a regular basis along with Star Trek. Like NCIS. Really couldn't get into the 'Reboot' of BSG, but I did think it was an interesting concept.

Remember enjoying SWAT when I was younger, and hiding behind the couch in the early days of Doctor Who

Anybody remember CHiPS?

And need I mention Babylon 5

Of course I remember CHiPS. Ponch and John wasn't it. A few years back the actor that played Ponch was doing tv commercials for what seemed like rather questionable "luxury resort home" purchases. Let's just say time has not been kind to him. He was a bit more "paunch" than Ponch.

Eric Estrada (ponch) has been here several times in the past few year promoting internet safety. Bedford Va sheriff dept. runs a program called Blue Ridge Thunder (I think) that watches the internet for paedophiles. They have caught a lot of them. One was high enough in a different country to have diplomatic immunity. He left the country.

Ah... the American imports Yeah we got and get them here too. Don't watch any of them currently (no time to watch TV).

But I used to love Star Trek and am one of those rare persons who loved Voyager best. Around the time I got married my wife and I always watched Hill Street Blues.
Of old shows we watched when I was a teenager I remember mainly the westerns (Bonanza, High Chapperal) and action ones (like Man from U.N.C.L.E, Ironside and the pursuaders, with Tony Curtiss and Roger Moore).
Mum and the sisters wacthed things like Peyton Place and the Forsythe Saga (is that US or UK?).

Not been a huge amount going on here of late to be honest. Mostly just work in the week, and relaxing at the weekend as far as possible, generally enjoying the weather. Sadly it feels like winter has arrived here now, so that's the end of that.

This last weekend though, bought myself a new toy. Will be picking this up on Saturday.

Complete polar opposite to the Saab in every way pretty much (well, save for the fact they both have slant four engines...), looking forward to getting them both to shows next year.

Remakes. Another way of saying "they have no creative imagination". I didn't ever watch Ironside but Perry Mason (also Raymond Burr) was a favorite.

Not an import this one, just spent a significant portion of its life in a collector's garage until they passed away a couple of years back and a significant portion of the collection was sold off.

No rally version here, think it just looks a bit evil because the wheels have been painted black. CZ sticker was applied by the previous owner simply because of the origins of the marque rather than the car's own history.

Bunch of photos will I'm sure follow at the weekend (or a link to them anyway, don't want to flood the board with them and irritate everyone!).

Just crossing my fingers the journey home goes smoothly, I tend to prefer a rather shorter shakedown voyage for new acquisitions than a 130 mile trek, especially in a 26 year old car!

Not to mention getting one's fingers caught in the pulley while reaching for the turn signal lever.

Like lane changes. You only hold the lever "on" while switching lanes. Fingers get in wrong place, OWW!, followed by car gets in wrong place, which is called "accident"

That could really put the "dent" in "accident"!

Finally got around to sorting out my change jar - which has been overflowing now for a couple of months.

Ended the evening £131.84 better off than I thought I was at the start of the evening.

...Plus €0.50 and $0.25 (US) which had somehow managed to sneak in there.

More than half the cost of the tyres I'll be putting on the car at the weekend, so I'm definitely not complaining!

Change jars are great! I put all our pennies, nickels and dimes in a giant plastic Coke bottle/bank up in Jenn &Mike's room. The quarters go in a bank that was sent to us by friends in England. It originally had tea in it. The bank is rectangular and has pictures of Buckingham Palace on it.
