Yana seemed to cope remarkably well with Seans transformations after her first surprise. How would you cope if your partner spent part of his time in another form? Differences in a relationship are wonderful but is too much just too much?

I think I could adapt for somebody I really cared about.

I think I'd find it weird. I could probably adapt. But I'd want to cuddle him like a pet if his other form was cuddly, and that could annoy him....

If I really cared about the person, I'd learn to adapt. I may not be totally comfortable with it, but I'd accept it and work around it, if it was either that, or give up the other person completely.

Adapting would be easy enough after getting over the shock of a sentient planet.

Especially as, in Sean's case, he would be wet

So if he changed into a big fat house cat he'd be in trouble Especially as the kids would probably want to torment him "Noooo! Don't pull Daddy's tail!"

I think if I were in the same situation as Yana it would be relatively easy to accept that given all the other stuff she's come to accept. As I said in this thread in the previous incarnation of MoM though, it was lucky he metamorphosed into something cute rather than a giant slug or something

I could adapt and at least our children would never drown.

LOL Pam can just imagine that one. Hmmm maybe a Selkie would be the best kind, he could swim away.........
Of course the children could always swim after him

What I wonder about more, is how is Yana going to cope with the twins? When she bathes them, won't they just revert to Selkie form? I'd have thought that would be a lot more disconcerting, and even distressing than a metamorphosing partner!

Well, at least she won't have to worry so much about drowning them! And maybe their pelts will be easier to wash than human skin...

Daddy Sean just better plan on being around to help, cause as I well know, newborn twins are a lot of work! It's best to outnumber newborns, two to one.

And when they get older I bet she won't have too many arguments to get them to bathe!

Talk about wierd, if someone did that to me, I'd only hope I could change into something else too, maybe a dragon?
