As long as you (and the others) don't bite of more than you can swallow whole you're safe

*Grins* I love him!
he's a Miami phase corn snake. And due to neglect and a lack of handling, he's rather a handful... He's bitten Steve and Aaron and tried to have a go at me, but when he's been out a while he calms down, so he'll tame down well with time. Poor baby has spent all his life shoved in a viv the size of what my baby snakes live in, being ignored.

the kids LOVE him (the fact that corn snake bites don't hurt is a big help ) and insisted on pics with him.

Beth

and Aaron

No more for a while now lol.

What a stunning looking snake. And why is it *bad* to save a critter. You know what you're doing and he'll get the love and attention he deserves. And I'm sure in no time will be a happy member of your family.

And cute kids !

Animals learn to forgive when they've had enough time to get over the mal-nourished and mistreated bits that life throws at them. We ended up with the runt of the litter and we think she may have copped a bit of a hiding before we got her BUT she always gives us a big welcome if we've been away, even for a few hours, especially to hubby dearest. So I reckon your snake will be in the same boat! And the kids are giving "it" lots of attention from the looks on their faces. You brought a smile to my dial after reading your posts, Plat. Great job!

Thanks all

he's in a proper sized box now and is a little less hissy. He bit me in the face and head the other day. I moved his mouth away from Beth and he touched my shoulder with his head, panicked and bit me >.< He's calming now tho and doesn't strike as much when picked up! We're off to the beach to get some fossil rocks tomorrow for the snakes, so he might have something to investigate soon!

The kids are great at looking cute. Don't act it much tho lol
