Cookie Helloooooo!

I've been neglecting my own forum for far too long, and it's time for me to get my butt back in here on a regular basis. Many thanks to Hans and our long-time members that have kept the home fires burning without me.

I've kept busy with my kids (the twins are ten now, and the toddler is fast approaching four), photography - though I fell off the photography wagon for part of last year and am getting back to it now, and making photobooks. And myriads of other small things that are part of daily life and generally not very exciting, LOL.

How is everyone? What have you been up to lately?

Also dealing with daughter (now with nursing degree) and all the grandchildren and their various schools and colleges.

I've only bought one cat, a Maine Coon who was a real honey. All the rest have either been strays that found us or that we have gotten from shelters. There are so many cats and kittens at shelters hoping for someone to take them home. I'm afraid that with only minimal encouragement I could be a crazy cat lady with several dozen.

The most cats we ever had at once was 8. Currently we have 4. While I do love them I think between 2 and 4 is a good number for us.

We've been without a cat for two years now, but are about decided on getting a couple kittens. First a couple areas of the house need to be cleaned up, and I'm not making progress on that as of yet.

Kater, thinking good thoughts for you for the job!

I like dogs. I enjoy playing with them, even walking them. I just don't want to own one. Jenn & Mike want a smallish dog when they have their own place. I can play with him or her. Growing up we had a couple dogs (one at a time). I just never loved them the way I've always loved our cats.

Good luck with grad app, Moonlady.

I wish we had at least 10 fewer cats. There are a few I can't complain about. They are mostly living next door. There are a couple I would get rid with no problem. Mostly because they miss the litter box by just a few inches. We have cat, she is Kibby's, that will pee in Mom's bathroom tub drain. She will back over it until she is in the exact spot so the pee will go down. She is a bit strange.
