This picture is well over 30 years old and takien on my honeymoon. Old guy playing petanc (jeu des boules) in the Tuileries (the gardens around the Louvre) in Paris, 1979!

ooo, Hans I was just there, but I didn't see any guys playing at games. I did have some really good ice cream though.

Not sure if you can still play there, blondmom, this was long ago and president Mitterrand's plans (glass pyramid among other things) for the Louvre area must have changed the surroundings drastically.

You were in Europe? Only Paris? No time to call on me?

Good icecream in Paris? Was it an Italian?

Europe yes, Portugal, Spain, France ending in Paris, on a pilgrimage and unfortunately my bus didn't get anywhere near you. Actually I've decided (after looking at all your wonderful photos) that one of these days Pam and I are coming to Holland.

Dressage (aka: the most boring of horse sports)

But those of us who event (dressage, cross-country, stadium jumping) tolerate it so we can get to the fun stuff (this is a professional shot of me and my pony, so I obviously didn't take it
