Default Shard It...

Just got a really "nice" letter from the hospital where I was to have my hip sorted... short version... due to "unforeseen circumstance" they've moved my date back to 22 June.

There is one upside, and this is a very small one, that weekend before, is the British F1 Grand Prix, and we have passes for it....

That is something which, after all these years, I did not know about you, Sokar! You are a F1 Fan? My husband will not miss a race on tv, to the point if we are away he tapes them. When they are on, we try to be extra quiet when "travelling" through the den!

Best of luck with the surgery!

At least they didn't push it back too far. Here's hoping they don't bump you again!

Yea, if they do it much later, it's going to make starting year 2 of my university course, a bit tricky, though I've talked to them about it, and they've said that if i need an extra help to start off with, they can get some in place for me.

Good luck with the surgery.

The closet fans are always the loudest when watching the races. Especially when Bathurst or the Grand Prix is on, when hubby and mates are watching it. "Go Ford", "Go Holden", "Give us a break", blah blah then I throw in something just to get them riled up again, hehehe!

Hope you enjoy the GP. I'll be there as an official, track/flag marshal.

Getting quite excited now, only three weeks to go. Hope to hear what post I'm on within a weeks time or so.

Cool, good luck with that, I used to go to motor races at Donnington, years ago, because some friends were flag marshalls, though I suspect the duties have moved on a "little" since then.

It get's worse.

I got a phone call from the hospital, offering me a date for the op of, next Tuesday, if I'd taken it, after talking with a pre-op nurse, I wouldn't have been table to attend the Grand Prix, fortunately I checked with the pre-op nurse before saying yes or no.

Well, since you do have a date for the op that isn't terribly far away, I'd say getting to go to the Grand Prix takes precedent. It would in our house, anyway! Have fun, we'll be watching it on TV. Good luck with the op!
