Default P'ter and Wrath

This is P'ter, Weyr Harper and Dragonrider of Brown Wrath. P'ter and his aging Brown Wrath, have been teaching the weyr children for many turns. He is seen here taking a break from entertaining the weyrfolk...his dragon loves listening to him play as well. I hope you enjoy this portriat as much as I did in creating it. Maelin

Holy Smoke...

Everytime you think she's done a great job she comes up with an even better portrait, but this... P'ter looks stunning (like his face is lighted by professional theatre lighting technicians) and the gitar (spelled the Pernese way) is beautifully crafted (by the instrument master as well as by Master Maelin) and not so long ago that Master wrote somewhere that there were only so many ways to put a dragon in the picture and that she put them in the background because they wouldn't fit... and then she comes up with this

Absolutely brilliant Master Maelin!

P'ter, you are one lucky Weyr Harper

Cherlyn...I thought someone would enjoy seeing a true Harper gitar...and since P'ter is a weyr harper...his needed dragons...naturally!!

Hans...thank you kind sir...seems I spoke to soon...LOL We can all learn new ways to do things...wink...thankfully!!

*R* glad you enjoyed the gitar...I know your musical so I take it as a very nice compliment coming from you.

Sara, thank you very kindly

Thea, glad your enjoying it.

Amaterasu, Thank you...Wrath is aging...but I would think since P'ter is his rider...he would indeed have a lot of life left in him.

Pter...your welcome!!!

Cheryl, thank you very much...I did enjoy doing this dragon.

Edi, Thank you for the compliment. I will leave the wise-cracks up to Peter...as usual...LOL

Wonderful portrait Master/Lady Maelin!!!! (covers both with this salutation!) It seems to me that Wrath is about ready to make some sort of witty comment to P'ter. And is that a bit of dragon tongue peeking out?? I love the detail of the gitar too! P'ter has a lot to be proud of in this portrait as does Maelin! Bravo!!!

Thank you all very kindly for your lovely compliments on this my latest creation. I did have a lot of fun with this one. Bringing P'ter's Wrath to life, was indeed a chalenge...and I am glad that you are all enjoy both Wrath and Weyr Harper P'ter.

Now for the gentlemen in the lobby ....I want to thank the three of you for your interesting discussion about my being a Master/Lady...Lady/Master, and a Lady in general...

I thanks goes to all three of you boys for holding up my honor as a Lady. Its really is lovely to know that such learned gentelmen as yourselves do consider me as a Lady, instead of just that over talkitive dizzy blonde that you all know.

From now on though...Master Maelin will do just fine. That way you boys won't have to argue over or defend me anymore....you can get back to your latest rounds of serious wine tasting at the MoM Headquarter's *Bar n Grill*....this round of drinks are on me... ..I believe it was a great year!!!

Whoa. Holy crap. ^O_0^ They look ALIVE. Just look at those rich colors, those clean lines, and all that detail!

Is Wrath sticking his tongue out at us? (giggles) That makes the gleams in his eye look delightfully impish. I love the deep, lush brown shade of his hide, and the gray on his muzzle and headknobs adds some surprising dignity to his look.

P'ter is distinguished, but approachable, and I think his smile is very inviting; it's like he's saying "Hey, good to see you. Come sit, I'll be starting again in a few minutes." I almost expect him to lift his hand to beckon to us, or offer to set aside his instrument to pour some klah. He seems very proud of that gitar, too, and well he should; it's so lovely and appears well cared for.

This is EXCELLENT.

You know what? I was just thinking. All these beautiful pictures. They make me wish I could know the people in them, that we could all get together somewhere, even if it was just for a Gather. Master Maelin, you have a way of making people look as good as they can be, and putting that spark of personality in that just makes me wish we all lived closer!

WOW ...I am so happy that so many of you have gathered so much feeling out of this drawing....I was so worried about whether *Wrath* would look real enough to most of you...but to get such involvement for the characters that are in one of my drawings...truly makes does me feel honored.

@Multi facets...I think you really do live on Pern. ..I can see you sitting in front of P'ter, waiting to hear his next song ...and chuckling at his passing comments about the Weyr Leaders table .... hand him another glass of wine as the nite is still young and P'ter has a lot more singing to do!!!

To answer the few of your comments about *Wrath*...NO that is not his tounge...he is way to old and dignified to stick out his tounge...anymore...although *Wrath* is P'ter's dragon after all, and whould have to have a good sence of humor himself...so I don't think I would put it passed him to stick out his tounge at passers by ...or at young werylings clowing in the back of the group !!!

It's actually the edge of his lower lip that you see, sticking out under his muzzle with hints of his green blood/icor.

Cilla, What a wonderful idea ....A gather of all the members that I have done portriats for would be fantastic...but they are scattered all over the world so I don't think it very likely ...but I can hope that perhaps someday I will meet more of them.
