Well, uh, did not think of that. Okay, I will let you off the hook this time. But, next time I will not be so forgiving.

Hans, I can forgive with the best of them. As long as he opens the next bottle and shares it with all of us.

He'll need more than one bottle then.

Okay, P'ter, now you really need to open that bottle. I cannot throw it at you, if it is not empty.

Thanks for the cuppa. Last night I made a batch of my *famous* pumpkin and potato soup (threw some other vegies in as well to make it filling). Hubby and child decided they wanted something different instead so I'll be eating it on my lonesome which I don't mind. For those wanting the recipe, here 'tis (but worth remembering that you won't need it until All Hallow's Eve/Halloween at the earliest for all those "pumpkin eaters" - poor P'ter, I do seem to find some crazy rhymes regarding you, don't I?).

JUBE'S PUMPKIN AND POTATO SOUP:
1 average sized pumpkin of your choice,
8-10 potatoes,
1.5 litres of water, (add more water if you're doing larger quantities or if you don't want it too thick because when it boils for awhile, water goes down and soup gets thicker when you blend it altogether),
Chicken, Beef or Vegetable stock 3-5 cubes (add more if doing larger quantities) dependent on your choice.

Cook all above until vegies are soft. Do not strain off the liquid stock. Put it all into blender so it's extra smooth. Then add some cream or milk in the middle and SERVE IT FORTH!
**I also added 2 chopped up onions, peas, carrot, corn and celery if you want it more heartier. But only after I blended everything, then added these ingredients and cooked for a further 20 minutes or so.

All I ask is that this recipe is a "trial and error" recipe because what one person does, is not necessarily what someone else will do (as an example, you may want to add more pumpkin then potatoes or vice versa. I found that potatoes are great instead of flour to thicken this kind of soup up).

Thanks Jube, I will try it. But, I probably will not wait until October. I would probably forget by then.

The decent stuff has corks!

I wouldn't know what Coke does: I'm not allowed anything with caffeine.

I can offer a very good line in ideas that have been mulled.

Oh, something mulled would go great. I had a full day of dance rehearsal yesterday and my old body is a little sluggish today. I could just sit and sip by the fire today. Well, no I have dance class today, even though yesterday was an all day thing. We have our recital in less than two weeks.
P'ter, would you be a dear and send some mulled wine my way? Thank you so much.

If that being the case, I don't have any spare bottles of Grange around here then. Just the trusty *port* and that has a cork in it, P'ter. Actually hubby dearest show me a trick with TimTams and port, yyyuuuuummmmmmmmm! Although I think all that alcohol steaming off into the distance has put a slight mis-spelling on your reply, P'ter. You can't match Master Robinton if you tried, my dear!

Edith sending a big cheesy to you so that you know we're sending happy thoughts your way! You'll get through it for sure!

No-one seems to have commented, as yet, on the fact that MoM also stands for Ministry of Magic!

By the way, is there a Room of Requirement here?

I need a large, large drink!

Now, I haven't mentioned it here yet but I'm applying for a PhD in Delft.
Now, I emailed someone from my dept. who was linked with it, who is over in Delft. Now he said that he'd send an email to the guy in charge of the PhD and he'd send me some information, also to phone Delft. Now, I've managed to contact the guy from my dept but I CANNOT get hold of the guy from Delft. I've rang several times and I've now emailled.

So I need a large, large drink to steady my nerves!
