Default Pinup Girl

Cheryl chastised me for not posting the original sketch of a piece I've been futzing around with off and on the last couple of weeks -- so now that it's all finished, I figured I owed her the final result. ;> (Though by now, I'm sure she's seen it on LJ!)

Voila:

All the details about this -- why I painted it, inspiration, etc. -- are on the relevant DeviantArt page. :>

I realize it's got a lot of problems, but it was still a fun piece, and on the whole I'm pleased with it!

It irritated me that I had to become a member of Deviant to see, what THEY call, mature art (after your 2Ktweet). Glad to see it here.

Great pic, Cat. Reminds me of Chris Achilleos' style though he would have made it a lot more glamorous. Well executed and excellent composition. She maybe could have been arching her back a little more. The only objection/remark I have are the eyes. Real ones would have given her so much more expression, might make the piece more intense. No eyes always gives a hollow feeling to a painting/drawing. That's fine if that was the desired efect (ghost or something) but this pretty lady deserves better. Especially like the left hand!

The final version turned out great! I hope the instigator of this piece is happy with the how it turned out.

WOW!!! That is certainly exotic looking...I think I saw her in an old Sinbad movie...only she wasn't near as beaitiful looking. Is this a computer painting or a real world one? You realy do lovely and wonderfully varied work. Can't wait to see what you come up with next...although I have to admit I do enjoy your Pern work best

Thank you! The original sketch was in pencil, but the painting is all digital.
