My family is taking advantage of the New Year already

We have just had dinner guests and had made slow food all day having great fun while cooking. We enjoyed the 3 course dinner with our guests and had a cosy evening.

Tomorrow, we will repeat the success with other guests, and Monday on New Years Eve as well.

I am so looking forward to having nice relaxed days with good company and good food.

I wish you all the same luxury!

Happy New Year to all!

No big celebration plans here, just a minor one to watch the Rose Bowl on the 1st since my college football team actually made it in this year! Go Fighting Illini!

I hope to watch the Rose Bowl parade tomorrow morning (if I remember). The flower arrangements on the floats are mind boggling! I expect the football game will be on, though I'm not a football lover, so I doubt I'll be watching. We were happy to see Penn State win their bowl game, and it was the coaches' 500th game as coach at Penn State! Go, Joe Pa!

Normally, my siblings and I do some sort of movie marathon. In the past we watched all three extended version of LOTR, Disney movies, Star Wars, but I don't know what we're going to do this year. We also make homemade pizza, and sometimes homemade ice cream. I know we're not making homemade ice cream because we would have had to start that yesterday.

There are some interesting things happening downtown this evening, so we might go check those out.

Well, we don't have any plans this time, I don't think. Possibly we'll be watching tv at midnight again, if we're still awake. I'll try to change my calendar before 12:01am as usual.

Happy New Year! Currently it's 8:13 am, January the 1st, and I have already made my New Year's resolution. Same as 2006: write at least 1 poem a day, every day. I want to get that stockpile up again!

Happy New Year to all!!! We had a gathering of family yesterday and had black eyed peas and mixed greens. That is our traditional New Years Meal. We also had venison, lasagna and several other sides. Now am glad the holidays are over and things can get back to normal. Hope to see everyone in the chat room on Saturday!
