Alaska Photos - A Meeting of Minds

10 years ago my mom and I started our quest to get to all 50 of the US States. This summer we accomplished it by getting to Alaska.

The following are some highlights, the rest can be seen at flickr

Turnagain Arm

McHugh Creek Falls

Kenai Lake

Me in Seward next to the Small Boat Harbor

Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park

Dall Porpoise in Resurrection Bay

Humpback Whale Tail in Resurrection Bay

Fox in Denali National Park

Mt. McKinley (Denali)

Caribou in Denali National Park

Worthington Glacier Creek (look at the color of the water. It looked like liquid mercury)

Valdez Glacier (we went kayaking on the lake at its base)

Luna the Musk Ox at the Musk Ox Farm

Reindeer at the Reindeer Farm in Palmer, AK

Good highlights from your trip. The full set on Flickr is amazing, worth spending time looking through.

I'm so very jealous of this trip, you saw so many amazing sights! I'm coming with, next time you go to Alaska!

Ah, Alaska........ Been there, ate caribou; not as good as moose.

Magnificent Pam! And congratulations on reaching your goal to have visited all the states, quite a feat. Pity that the blue bear couldn't make it to all

Alaska is overwhelmingly beautiful and, like Cheryl, you may consider me very jealous!

Thank goodness, Australia has only 7 states and territories and I can honestly say Western Australia and Northern Territory are the only ones I haven't been to YET! Congratulations on achieving your goal. Maybe a thread of 50 states of America with 1-2 of your favourite photos from each state, would be in order as most of us probably wouldn't see everything that the USA has to offer!

Hmmm... I could probably do that, though there are states I don't actually have any good pictures of (Oklahoma and Delaware come to mind) and those I hit before I had a digital camera (like Florida and Maine.) I'll see what I've got though.
