Tomorrow the local library has their annual sale. I went 4 years ago when we moved here and I was not impressed. They had a lot of tables of books, but they were not in any sort of order. My thought would have been - a table for romance novels, a table for cookbooks, a table for historical novels, etc. All the books were jumbled together and I gave up after a short while. I'm hoping that now the library has been newly renovated they will have taken more time and thought to the proper set up of the sale in order to make it appealing to people who might actually want to BUY something?!

Good luck.
The library here sorts out childrens books. All the rest are stuck on the tablesd so that you have to look through all the other books to find sci-fi.

Our library system just had their fall book sale. I missed it because of vacation but they have one in the spring and one in the fall every year. It's great, 'cause they have space in the basement dedicated to it. Several rooms with shelves. The books are divided. Children's books are in one room and divided by categories and fiction or non-fiction. The adult books take up several rooms. One room has the nonfiction divided by categories. Another room has the SF/Fantasy, westerns, and popular authors. And another room has all the rest of the fiction separated by paperback or hardback and in alphabetical order by author.
![]() I really love our libraries and their book sales!!

I actually had a good time at the book sale. They had a nice selection of SciFi, none of Anne or Todd that I could see (not that I'd buy anyway, since I'm emptying my own bookshelves as it is). I found an interesting hardback copy of a Wizard of OZ comic book version that I think is going to be fun. I also got Jeff two illustrated books on WWII warplanes, and an illustrated encyclopedia of American Motorcycles for Mike. Not a bad day, in spite of the rain!
