What are your memorable moments from Dragon's Kin?
I rather enjoyed this book, but for personal reasons it was hard for me to read when it first came out. Anyhow, here my "memorable moments" from this book: The death of Kindan's father - Kindans grief is so well written, and so understandable. I could really sympathise. I had just lost my own father when this book came out, so I found this hard to read first time round... The rescue of the trapped miners - clever in many ways. |

Can't think of anything right now...
Though I always like to see a blind character who isn't being depicted as helpless and passive...

I am still reading this one and I will come back and tell you the most favorite then, so far though I like the scene where Kindan finds out that Nuella is blind and she feels his lips to see what his smile looks like. That was a very pleasant scene.

I enjoyed this book because it did go into another area of Pern that we really didn't know much about. Not just watchwhers, but mining and holders and a major character with a disability and succeeds.
I think the whole section about raising the hatchling was great. All the learning by the seat of your pants. ![]()

My favorite moment is when the blind girl (Cannot remember the name forigive me) sees herself throught the watchwher.
Another one is when the watchwher goes between to save the trapped miners. |

I enjoyed this book, it had a point of view, with the main characters being children growing up with sever handicaps to over come.
Kindans family loss, and Nuella's blindness. The small village pulling together for the good of the hold. Nuella, taking them in the caves at the end, to save her Father, that was my favorite.
