With his frequently quoted "I DRoP: I stay" was Zainal claiming lifelong fandom for the Dragon riders of Pern?

Myt: that's the real reason for being funny. I love people's reactions.
Granath: no I'm not Gyle by any other name. I smell far sweeter (Hm Hm!) I don't know about "Zany": I'm an English eccentric in the traditional manner.

Perhaps we should start a new thread of poems/limericks about each other?
Apart from Sandi's one above, I did one about Apocalypse in the Word of the Day thread.

I wonder if Yahoo could do us a translation into Lingua Barevi? Well they do Klingon, and somebody would have had to translate them, even Zainal's English would have had a problem early on.
Of course, in the last book they do "liberate" a library of two, perhaps some Anne's were in that.

If they had any taste at all, they'd've found a library of Anne's books - good way to learn English too?

Well, imagine if any of those books fell into the hands of the few remaining Eosi. They'd be zooming off to Pern to find the dragons. Imagine what one of them could do if they took over the body of a dragon!

Well, they wouldn't have to know it was fiction. Maybe they would launch exploratory missions to find Pern or Coruscant (sp?) or the place with all the giant worms. They might be interested in aquiring some spice.

What names could we give the 4 Chickens of the Apocalypse?
There could be Feather Pit, and Pecking Order for two of them. Ideas?
