Default How time flies when life is happening.

I have no idea when I took the time to stop by MoM last.
Life has been happening and I have prioritized my time elsewhere. To make a long story short: I got a job back in March, bought a house in July and had a wonderful baby girl on September 13th. I am now on maternity leave and has no job to go back to, but that wouldn't be relevant just yet anyway so that's fine.
I actually think I haven't been here much since last years quest. I probably won't have time to enter this year on account of feeding and entertaining a baby.
I'll try to take a peek in here once in a while. It's nice to take the mind off all the baby drool and diapers once in a while.

Well congratulations! Welcome to Motherhood. If you get through the first three months without colic, and baby sleeps well, and doesn't scream the house down with teething, then 9-18 months are probably the hardest. Then you get a few months of bliss before the terrible twos start, and then you get another kid or two, and then they're teenagers...

Seriously though- it's great, ain't it?

She is actually a fairly easy baby. She has been sleeping fine during nights since she was 4 weeks old. She usually sleeps at 8pm (today even at 7pm) and then I nurse her around 4am.

Our problem is actually the old cat that wakes us up 4 to 6 times during the night. She is 18,5 years old and not feeling so great, but not bad enough to put to sleep. Ironic that the baby sleeps and the cat wakes us up.

Kibby started sleeping through the night at four months. Then got sick and was up several night coughing. She was over a year old before she slept through the night again.

I saw you had commented in my flickr album; that's actually one of the reasons I thought "gosh, I haven't been to MoM in quite a while, I ought to find the time to do that."

Oh no, that must have been tough.

I count myself lucky every night that I get to sleep 7 hours total. I don't expect for this luck to keep on going forever, but I appreciate it so far.

Given a choice Kibby would still rather be up all night and sleep all day.
