Ooh! Ooh! I can do soooo many things!
Lets see . . . I'm a Journeywoman in Smithcraft . . . of course I couldn't have a forge at MoM Headquarters . . . but at the island . . . then a hop to HQ . . .
I wouldn't mind helping in the kitchen . . . oh but the CHOCOLATE ! Yes, I would love THAT job. Chocolate tasting . . . book club . . .
Of course I could take a round as one of the bouncers . . .

The only one of those that struck me as Pernish was Chethams, Manchester; but I'm glad that Wolfenbuttel got a look in, I've a soft spot for that one (a tale for another day).

After looking through all those fantastic photos of Libraries from all over the world...(Thank you Cheryl for finding these)I think that there are three that look like they could be on Pern in my opinion. Probably residing in one of the larger holds like Fort, especially since Fort Hold has the Harper Hall and the Healer's Hall there. Those two crafts would need the books or scrolls more than any other area or craft on Pern.
My choices are...
The Bodleian Library, Oxford University, England...I love this one with its decorated ceilings...on Pern those would be coats of arms from the major holds.
and
The Theology Room at St. Deimiol's Library, Wales
and
Chetham Library, Manchester England

I wasn't necessarily looking for a Pern-style one, just which we should use as a model for our virtual MoM library in the Amsterdam HQ.

I vote we have a friendly 'getting our heads together' to come up with lots of different ideas for it. I'm sure someone would rise to the challenge of doing some light sketches or a floorplan of it.

It seemed to work when I suggested an MoM flag.

Sidenote: How big -is- the MoM HQ? xDDDD
