I don't know what kind of insurance your daughter had but you might better check before you wear yourself out cleaning things an insurance company just might claim. As for the bike, is it wrong to hope its new rider fails to observe an oncoming bus? Good luck to you and the family getting things straightened out and closer to "normal" as soon as possible.

There are a number of feral cats living around the area (there are four school/college playing fields adjoining eachother just across the road. I suspect some feline mom saw the deserted bungalow as a safe spot to get her kits away from the urban foxes.

Unfortunately, Fiona wasn't insured. She dropped it back at Christmas as she couldn't afford the premiums.

there is an empty lot next door to my mom's art studio, that is homes to many feral cats. unfortunatly, a company is going to pave it over, so one of her studio-mates is trying to relocate them to a family ranch. However, they do not seem to know that anything that was not recently moving is food, (the lot is also home to mice, ground squirrels, and pheasants.) so trapping them is proving rather difficult.
