Default Book Barn again!

Jeff and I both had the day off so we made a trip up to the bookbarn. I did not find any McCaffrey, but I did get two hardbacks by Clifford Simak that I know we don't have. They had others as well, and now that I know I can get them I just might have to fill up Jeff's collection of his work, which is currently all paperbacks. I also found something I thought was interesting. A copy of one of Ursula LeGuin's books in French. The title is La Cite Des Illusions. I'm sure I can't read it, this many years past my French classes. If anyone would like it, I'll stick it in an envelope and mail it wherever. It's a paperback, and from what I can tell it's got a 1967 published date, and it looks like the cover art was by someone named W. Suidmak? Anyone want? Otherwise it's just going to collect dust on my shelves.

My French is rather rusty, so occasionally I buy one of Anne's in French and read it with the English version open as well.

Book Barn again...glad to see that you made it back there...even if you didn't get to find anymore AMC books to add to your collection. Hope you find a good home for your new book.

Maelin, I think I own just about all of Anne's books, except for a couple of the Acorna's. I'm not going to look for magazine articles or collections of short stories that might have something by her in it. Also, I'm not collecting anything by Todd. I guess my McCaffrey collection is pretty complete (at least for me, anyway) and now I can work on fixing up Jeff's Simak!

Cilla...well at least you have other authors you also enjoy reading...and you also can help Jeff to find some of his books. I do the same with Martin...Star Trek seems to be a never ending collection...at least in our home...LOL.

Yes, go right ahead, make us jealous again!

Anyway, Wojtek Siudmak is the artist that has also done all the art for Anne's French paperbacks. He's originally Polish.

I'm not sure I would call that cover art Peter...it looks more like the artist was in a hurry and couldn't come up with any decent ideas for this cover before it was due at the printers.
