Thanks, Hans. I'll tell her. Maybe I should just show her, now that she can read it for herself! Yesterday was her last day of first grade and her Mom said she got teary eyed when it was time to leave. She has had wonderful teachers so far and this one made scrapbooks full of photographs and other things that covered high points through the entire school year. I know she spent a lot of time (and probably money) making those books and making them so personal for each child. I hope she can continue the way she has started and that her little brother will have the same teachers when he follows behind her.

Ah, to have good schaool and good, excellent and fine teachers. More even than education from the parents, another important aspect, it forms a kid, his/her interests and shapes his/her future. We must be thankful for great teachers.

Today is my daughter's 28th birthday. Gave her a card with money, a small wooden box with a Celtic knot design woodburned into the lid, and a very cute "stuffed" pig. The box and pig were made by the same person, a very dear friend who is incredibly talented!
![]() Jenn and Mike are going out to dinner with friends tonight and then to the casino to play bingo tomorrow. She took off Thursday and Friday from work and with the Monday holiday it's been a long birthday weekend! ![]()

I have not done much.
Kibby has another field trip on Thurs. We don't have regular meetings and classes during the summer. This field trip is, for a change, close by and free. We are going to hike around an island then we are going to a near by park that has a sprinkler park in it. I like free things. I just hope we don't get any storms that day.

Wisconsin • Wausau Community Theatre in Schofield provides audio description and touch tours on stage before each show as part of their Sensory Program. They also provide Sensory services to five other local arts organizations. Email the Sensory program coordinator or call ![]() ![]() ![]() Audio Description (AD) is the descriptive narration of key visual elements of live theatre, television, movies, and other media to enhance their enjoyment by consumers who are blind or have low vision. AD is the insertion of audio explanations and descriptions of the settings, characters, and action taking place in such media, when such information about these visual elements is not offered in the regular audio presentation Performing Arts With Audio Description Today many theatrical companies engage the services of trained audio describers to enhance the theatre experience for people who are blind or have low vision. The describer occasionally speaks "between the lines" to describe entrances, exits, actions, and key props to people who cannot see them. Often, before the show and during intermission, a describer "sets up" for the performance by detailing the stage layout, props, characters, and costumes. There is never any charge to the theatre patron for the use of audio description, although the theatre may pay a fee for the service. The typical scenario for using description would be to locate a table in the theatre lobby where description equipment is being handed out. You will usually be given a small hand-held receiver about the size of a pack of cigarettes. It has an on/off switch, a volume control, and a jack for a headset, which you will also be given. headsets vary in style, and you may even prefer to bring your own. Put the headset on and turn on the receiver as soon as you get seated, as you may find someone is describing the stage or characters for you already. If you don't find description offered for a favorite theatre or for a specific production that you would like described, call and ask for it! The theatre will be dependent on finding local audio describers -- not always an easy task -- but there is no harm in asking. Advocate for your own needs! Here are some of the theatres around the country that offer description. If you know of more, please advise the webmaster via the link at the bottom of the page. UPDATED MAY 2011 -- THANK YOU, CONTRIBUTORS! (http://acb.org/adp/theatres.html, 2011) Its partly why I wanted the Dragonsongs musical scrip and USA DVD. ![]()

Sandi...sounds like your Grand-daughter is doing incredibly well...congratulations to her and her family for helping her to achieve all she can. She's growing up so fast...and as she grows she will learn how to work around her very individual hair part...and still manage to come up with some fairly strange hair styles in her teens...they all seem...LOL

Maelin, she already does come up with some, um, interesting hairdos at only 7. Her hair isn't as curly as it used to be and she enjoys playing with it more.
May does seem to be a good month for birthdays. My daughter's was the 22nd but she wasn't twenty, even though I think she still looks like she's not much more than that. |

Mike (daughter's boyfriend) has bought a motorcycle. A Harley, which is all the men in his family ride. He's the first of his generation to own one. His dad has been riding all his life and for once is being reasonable and protective of one of his kids, insisting Mike "learn to ride properly". He even paid $1,000 toward it as Mike's graduation gift!

Buell started out being made wih Harley Sportster engines, but Mr. Buell switched a couple years ago. There are a lot of Japanese sport bikes that will outrun a Buell in a straight line, but nothing can outhandle one in the corners and curves.
Still, the insurance will eat you alive. All things considered, I would go with a Harley V-Rod before a Buell...... and I really like Buell. I just think the V-Rod is better for all-around riding; more "bang for the buck."

While my own preference runs to Harley for modern production bikes, there were other brands across the years that were just as good or better. Most notably would be Indian and Henderson of the American makes, and Vincent of the British bikes. Other notable machines, past and present: Triumph, BSA, Norton, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, BMW, and Matchless. The list could go on for a long time.
As a good example, a Vincent set a land speed record in 1955 that would stand for nearly 30 years, and the company had ceased production in 1955. Harley just has staying power by comparison.

![]() ![]() We had some stormy issue over the last few weeks, and the stress was making me unable to sleep, ![]() We went out for a date, for the first Sun in June is when I moved in with him. Its also the fly-in at Wild Rose, and somehow we pick a bad spot and it trigger a bad 'flash attack' a spot that they know about but don't know why it miss-fires, I've had seizures, between the moment or something, I got a long sectopmt of lash in my eye, painful, and I was muddle from the 'fash attack', also I can't see out it, but with the problems, it could realy damage my sight, the medication is working and I'm not as much in pain as I was. Thanks goodness, for I'm feeling the pull, from having my arms bend, like a L trying to aid Dan J., but its for a good cause, I'm getting the housework, taking care of Dan J, and working on a few projects.

![]() Went to the blood bank recently and it looks like I won't be going for 6 months due to a low iron count. Think I'll take Krentenbollen, dark chocolate and liver in that order. I'm not much of a fan of either dark chocolate or liver. Debates on whether chocolate-coated liver pieces might taste better then by themselves but the krentenbollen sounds good

Being a diabetic, the rolls ( sound great) and the Dark chocolate are Sorry to say not a daily option for me. The Liver would be OK once in a while. I think I will stick with a nice multi-vitamin. Boring, I admit but much faster, and less problems.
