White Bad Six Months

I know I haven't posted much in the last 6 months or so.
I've been making the rounds of my newly found friends--my docors who are driving me
I found out I need to have 2 knee replacements--the left one sooner than the right and probably a right hip all due to arthritis.
To put these off as long as possible I've been going to the gym every night. Now I am some one whose idea of exercise is turning the pages on good book so going to the gym and not reading every night is just about killing me.
Now my primary doc tells me I should be feeling better after all this but am I! No if anything I'm tired all the time. After loosing 50 plus pounds I'm the first person in my family on all sides to have diabetes. Now to keep loosing weight.
Oh well life goes on and I'll try to check in when I can probably every month or so. Just to see what you all are up to!

Lady Maelin I'm sorry I didn't get my picture to you but I understand your moving on. Good luck in your new endeavers.

Sorry to hear you're having such a bad time. Sneek in at least some reading time, it'll make you feel better. And do keep in touch with your Mom friends, that just may help too! (I know it does me)

Hope you feel better soon. Diabetes can be managed so don't let it get you down. I know a lot of people who have it.

Good luck, I know from a friend's experience if you do need to have them, those knee ops take a long time to get full mobile but you really do get a great benefit in the end.

As to reading, how about listening while you are working out at the gym. I use a small personal tape unit and listen to book tapes while knitting, might work while exercising too. Or personal CD / MP3 layer, just a thought.

That's not fun to be going through. Congrats on the weight loss, but boo hiss to the rest!

get your doctor to give you a check up if you're feeling tired all the time! It might be the diabetes or anaemia or something worse!
If you've changed your diet damatically you could be accidently malnourished!

Bisbe, OUCH ...that certainly doesn't sound like much fun...I do hope that after it is all over that you will be feeling much better. I am so glad to hear that you have lost over 50lb's...that will go a long way in helping to make your diabetes a little easier...the more you loose the better for your future health.
Please don't worry about the photo...I am sorry that it didn't work out for you to have a member portrait done....especially now with all your weight lose.
