Default Signs of Spring

Spring is beginning to, well, spring here. Most of our record snow has melted (only a few lumps here and there remain). I checked and discovered that the arboretum I love to visit was finally open again -- it's been closed for 1.5 years while they did renovations after apparently being sued over handicapped accessability.

So yesterday I headed over there with my camera to see what I could document of the beginnings of spring. As a whole things are still in winter slumber, but explore enough and buds and even early spring flowers could be found.

Lovely!

I'll be at Marjon's garden tomorrow and will see what's going on there.

Yesterday was nice, today wasn't so good, cold windy, and we expect rain/snow mix.

Went back to the aboretum today with my daughter (who decided at the last minute not to attend an otherwise all-boy party), and was surprised at how much more was in bloom in a matter of days. Daffodils, magnolias, much progress of the forsythia. It was lovely, but as a last minute thing I didn't have my camera.

We were out of town for a couple days and came back to find the daffodils in bloom. I don't have a camera, so I can't share it.
