Default Useless

A few days ago, wanting to buy a wallet, I looked round various suitable shops. In one they had a display of items badged for the Rugby World Cup. There were various things like drink-bottles, tee-shirts and wallets. The wallet had all the usual slots and pockets; and wasn't very expensive.

Four hours later, sitting at home, just as England were being knocked out of the competition, I started to load the wallet with the sort of stuff normally kept in one.

The slot for bank notes was just about long enough for a £5. All the larger denominations had to be folded.

Worse was to come. If you actually put credit and loyalty cards into the slots provided for them they stretched across the fold so that you could not fold the wallet back up to put in your pocket.

It's about as useful as the England Rugby Team!

I need to find a new wallet myself, and remember how hard it was to find a useful one that suited what I needed to put into it when I got my current one in the mid 1990's. I think I went through four shops before I found it, so I know how you feel.

I bought my current wallet from Banggood, a Chinese company. It's a longer, trucker style without the typical chain on it. It's big enough for US notes in any of its pockets, and has more room than I thought, all for about $6 when I bought it.

In fact, here's a link to the series of wallets that I chose from

http://www.banggood.com/Men-PU-Leath...-p-906416.html

Mine is similar to the long wallet in the top row, fifth photo, and the inside is about like the two photos in the bottom row, fourth and fifth photos.

I have a bunch of different wallets, including a swiss army one. I've been using a Coach one that my son bought me a couple years ago at the outlet store when he started his first job (handbag to match). I like it, it has plenty of spaces for license and cards and even room in the money section for the checkbook. I would not have gotten it for myself but he was so pleased to be able to get "mom" a name brand item. Kids. I guess I'd better keep mine!

I have no idea what type of wallet I have, but it does the job. I have to fold all my bills to fit and can't carry change, but I manage.
