Brave angler at the Duden Waterfalls at Antalya in southern Turkey

Only when I looked at this picture while at home and processing them I saw that this water was purple! It must be either a moss or fungus underneath the water or maybe that the water reflects the colour of the purple plants around it, I don't know. The photo was taken at Powerscourt Gardens, at Inniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland (near where Anne lives).

This is Cargill Falls local to home.

Cargill Falls by blondmom989, on Flickr

And from my recent vacation to Quebec City - Montmorency Falls. They're higher than Niagara Falls. You can see the people bridge in the upper left for perspective.

I've put some pictures from Quebec on my flickr page, if your interested.

Horsetail Falls, Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Box Canyon Falls, Ouray, Colorado
This one is particularly hard to take a picture of, as most of the falls is behind the rock.

I've already shown the picture of Rainbow Falls as part of the last topic. Here are two entirely different waterfalls. First another from Hawaii: Akaka Falls, which is also near Hilo in Hawaii:

And this is a completely different waterfall. It's a mini-waterfall entering the River Esk near Musellburgh in Scotland. While Akaka Falls required several flights and a drive to visit, I visited these falls on a cycling trip from my home:

Best I can do is one you've seen before, a little fall on my back 40.

These are all pretty good photos and are all so different that I can't pick a favourite yet, although I'm leaning towards Hans' purple waterfall and Draco's little one .

I'm sure everyone will recognize this waterfall, seeing that blondmom and I have a similar subject in common.

No, no. It's an interesting fact that (finally) we have the same subject photographed two times!

They're all really good, but I particularly like Hans' two pictures - especially the purple waterfall. Very unusual.

Jube, when did you visit Scotland, or are those different Grampians?

No, never visited Scotland in my life, the closest I could say was Ireland when my parents were visiting my Uncle and his family, back in the '70's. The Grampians are an Aussie version of a small mountain range in Victoria. The photos I posted, were from our honeymoon in 1996.
