I have been holding back suggesting yet another theme in case I take more than my fair share. But if we're running out of ideas please may I throw another one onto the pile:

Frozen in time.

I hope that will get people thinking. If anyone else has more suggestions feel free to insert them in front of mine.

Can we make that sports. P'ter? I'll add it as that but if local sports is something I misunderstand and something you specifically want, just post to say so and I'll change it.

Tough one for me as I am not into any sports...

I was hoping that we'd thereby get a wide variety of minority sports, not just football and motor racing.

I found something suitably wicked for #30 starting from 21st December. Junior wants to put in Summer Holidays because that'll be his school holiday time and will blend in with Ann-Marie's theme of winter holidays. If someone is willing to put me in that spot, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

*It may give Lady Maelin a chance to show off her beaches again although I don't expect to see beach photos again as that's already been done but close enough to give people ideas - I did think carnivals as well as they can be pretty prevalent in summertime and the subject's pretty broad to fit lots in *

After reading some of the posts, I can add at least 3 pictures to people's themes:

Pets - our dog who is supposed to belong to Junior, actually loves his new owner (hubby dearest),

Sports - darts,

Frozen in time - my WitW picture of Frozen Commuters (if someone wishes to put it up instead of me, you've got my permission to do so - it's more a case of if I forget to do so )

Hans: Actually my dart photos will go in P'ter's Minority Sports Illustrated and my frozen commuters will be going into StevenB's theme of Frozen in Time, does that solve the problem?

But if I produce ideas that others want to use, go for it and welcome to said ideas too!

Thought of another idea for this thread: transport - includes trains, planes and automobiles etc..etc... Came across some budgies near the miniature railway which has a steam locomotive that runs on market days across the river so would like to post that as an idea PLEASE!

Dear staffer (well whoever gets to read this first ),
Please be a darling and put my theme up next week,
I won't be home to have a go,
But certainly will participate when given the chance to do so,
I will be looking at my darling mother's photo albums for inspiration,
And hopefully have some "shots" of pictorial narration,
For others to view

Have a great week, all

Yours will go up on December 21st (but usually during my day, which might be your evening).

Here's the upcoming schedule (also found in first post):
#33 - 1 Feb 2010 - Jube - Transportation
#34 - 15 Feb 2010 - Cheryl - Religious edifices
#35 - 1 Mar 2010 - Hans - portrait
#36 - 15 Mar 2010 - AnnMarie - friendship
#37 - 29 Mar 2010 - P'ter -
#38 - 12 Apr 2010 - Steven - something unexpected
#39 - 26 Apr 2010 - r2005 - rainbows

If your name is not on this list as having suggested a topic, you may reply to this topic to suggest one. Otherwise we clearly have the next several months covered already and I think it's only fair to let other people have a change to suggest a topic before any of us repeat again.

How about "things given up for lent"?

So long as we do not end up with seven photos of chocolate bars and three of cigarette packets!

I'm leery of this as a topic, simply because quite a number of us -- Christian or not -- probably don't give things up for Lent. While that doesn't preclude anyone from taking a picture of something someone else might give up for Lent, it does make it harder topic to relate to and as such doesn't encourage maximum participation.

What if we just changed it a bit. Like to "Guilty Pleasures" or "Things that are bad for me but I love them anyway?"
