Default Color of Pernese meats?

This is a weird one, but I've been wondering about it ever since I got it into my head to do that Pern Minecraft project, and was reminded that Pernese plants are blue, and dragon muscle is green/green-grey.

Would the color of Earth animals' meat change due to Kitti Ping's changing of the them to absorb traces of the boron into their systems so the dragons could get it? Or would that absorbed boron stay in their guts and bones, the parts that humans don't eat? Dragons seem to love eating the guts (I think), but do they eat the bones too? Are dragonkin bones blue because they absorb boron like our bones adsorb calcium?

World the plants imported from Earth take on that blue tint? What does wherry and tunnel snake meat look like? I remember reading somewhere that it was blue or yellow in color instead of red or white like meat from Earth beasts and fowl, but I can't remember where that was and I can't seem to find it now.

The only ones that I recall is 'red meat' livestock that adapted well to the boron at the first hatching. -- Dragonsdawns
The Dolphins of Pern

Dragon inside Moreta during her repair, I shall have too look and see. The color of the bones, were covered by the hide, 'Golden hide rubs with redwort, turned brown, temporary.'

The Earth livestock was adjusted before dragons were even invented--the herbivores had to be adjusted slightly to be able to eat the native Pernese grasses and plants and get nutritional value from it.

Interesting question, I hadn't thought about the meat color. But then, I'm not sure what function the boron would serve--Earth animal tissue generally looks red because the blood (the hemoglobin in it.) Meanwhile the dragons have green ichor because of a different oxygen carrier (copper?) I'm not sure whether the color would change substantially in the muscle tissue if the chemical carrying oxygen to the blood hasn't changed.

As far as the parts the dragons eat--they appear to eat everything, but they tend to go for the innards and soft muscle first, like most carnivores. If it's a small animal (like the wherries Pridith eats in DQ) they crunch through the whole thing in a couple bites.

Good point. I'd forgotten about that. If I remember right, it is copper based blood. Where Earth animals have an iron-carbon makeup, Pernese animals have copper-boron. I'll have to look that up again to be sure... So I guess wherry and tunnel snake meat would look green-grey/silver too, and the Earth livestock would keep their red and white colored meats. And I found that reference to blue and yellow. Turns out it was talking about the plants, not the animal meat.
