Default New Damia Cover

I saw this cover "live" in B&N today (and bought a copy):

I actually like this. Damia looks like she could kick your butt.

Cover is by Danny O'Leary. He doesn't seem to have a larger version on his site, though.

It's awesome to know these are being re-released! Although I miss the obviously sci-fi Romas covers. Those will always be my favorite ones.

There's a clearer, slightly larger version in the second portfolio - scroll along at the top and you'll get there eventually.

At least this one looks like Damia, unlike some of the covers I have, for some of Anne's other books.
I still like the older covers though...the paintings were very good and gave a good feel for the story inside.

Problem is she looks like she is going to mind-flay you because her sandwich has THE WRONG KIND OF MUSTARD.

Totally wrong characterization for her.

We were in B&N the other day, and I like to tease my wife about reading YA vampire schlock. We came across the newly covered Anne books, to which she didn't even realize what she was looking at at first. She held it up to me and said "what the heck?"

And I said, "They're trying to appeal to people like you with new covers."

haha.

She still didn't read it.

Did your wife already read Anareth's book?
See: http://forums.srellim.org/showthread.php?t=8498

I can heartily recommend it and I never read a vampire book after High School And the ones I did read were classics.
