Steven....Thank you dear friend for the comment...well the painting I mentioned is mostly to the outside of our house, as we really hate the color of it right now...a yucky rust/orange color ...soon to be a lovely shade of Sage green trimed in white with dark green shutters.

I have an appalling lack of actual wall space here [compared to our last house]...I have had to cut down on the amount of my paintings that I can actually hang at any one time. But as Martin has said... I can change them whenever I really get bored looking at them.

I do have one wall that I am considering painting another mural of the sea on...that is...when I can finally find the time...Lord there is still so much to do to this wonderful old house...our new home.

Yes Edith it is very nice looking....thank you!

Hans...It will take awhile but perhaps I will get to another mural one of these days.

Talisath...you never know what will come of my easel...both of them together...that does sound like a pretty good idea though

But before I can do any other portrait, I have one more members portrait to finish...this member has been waiting a very long time and I don't want to disapoint her too much longer.

Vlor...I am very sorry that the first bunch of portraits and drawing seem to be missing...I don't understand why at this writing...but hopefully the problem can be repaired.

If you care to, you can see quite a few of them, and many other wonderful Pern related things, on Hans *Pern Museum* site...
http://www.pern.nl/

... until I can repair the problem. Again I am sorry.

Probably because you moved them to a different album on photobucket so they got deleted here. Easily fixed by putting in the new image code and viola, you're back up and running again. Which reminds me, I have to do the same thing with WiTW as P'ter wanted them.

I look forward to the fix. And, I will go to Han's site now. Thanks again!

EDIT: I just realized that I have muddled through that site many times before, not knowing it was associated with anyone here. Exceptional work. I now know I will be reading the Dragonsdawn soon after finishing the DRoP and Harperhall trilogy.

Thumbs up Re: Artwork of Lady Maelin, official Artist Laureate of MoM

After viewing for the n-th time your gallery at Pern Museum I thought to drop by and say hum much I admire your portraits of the Pernese people My favorite are Robinton, Emilly Boll and the first weyrleaders. I must say I saw your portraits before reading the Dragonsdawn and I saw most of the characters with faces you gave them! Great, lively faces of real people. And there are many details on the pictures one must look carefuly to see. I just noticed a funny picture on Emily's desk I haven't seen before And it all has been done in coloured pencils? Amazing! I finally got my hands on the People of Pern album by Robin Wood, it would be great to have another album with missing characters including your works

I also like avatars for the forum members and birthday portraits you've made for Anne. Is there a place where you display the newest portrait? I just red the birthday thread but haven't seen the portrait there.

Hello Sirielle...Welcome to MoM.

Thank you so much for your lovely compliments on my artwork...and may I say I was VERY IMPRESSED with your own amazing artwork...although your stereocopy didn't work for me, your portraits are incredibly beautiful.
What is your medium of choice???...and yes mine is colored pencils, although I have worked with oils, watercolors, acrylics the later I love to paint with, when I paint....
I have worked in many different mediums during my life, but seem to have settled, and am best suited to the color pencils, for the type of work I most enjoy...which is people and the endless enjoyment I get out of reproducing them.

Hi Sirielle. After reading your post, I have enlarged the picture of Emily and found out the picture on the desk is Pierre! On the notepad, next to her hand, is a time noted to meet him. I am searching all pictures now, to find out if I missed any more details.

Mara...glad you noticed the small photo of Pierre, I put that there especially for Hans, knowing what a fantastic cook Hans is...just like Pierre was in the books. So glad you've enjoyed my Pern drawings...I have really loved doing them.

Like I promised, way to long ago...I have found and put back most of the missing artwork, one thought has totally disapeared from photobucket in a move I made without knowing at the time it would change postings I had made...others I will repost soon, as well as finally put up Lessa...should have done that ages ago...sorry, but the move to our new home, rattled my brains something horrid.
