Hi, just found this place, a shame I didn't find it much earlier.

A friend loaned ma a copy of "Dragonflight" about 20-odd years ago and drom then I was hooked. Although "The Ship Who Sang" is a favorite overall (it was a hard choice to choose just one favorite) it is the Pern series that s my favorite series, though I've read most of the other series' too.

I'll probably lurk on a few intereting sites for a bit and then post, but then again, something may catch my eye that I want to reply to.

I had had a lot of issues in my life, and had been reading all of the Anne and Todd Co-written books (plus his own books though I found one of them comfusing.) I began re-readng some of Anne's dragon books and found myself thinking of a thread I had read some time back on another site called "You know you've been reading too many Pern books when..." When I googled the phrase, a similar thread on here came up. I read it, explored the site a bit, and decided I liked what I saw!

On that subject..the newest post on that subject was from 2010, but I felt I could add to it. Is it OK to revive old threads like that if you have something to add to them, or is 2 years too long ago to bother?

Welcome Danette. The place is rather quiet of late but it's a haven for Anne McCaffrey fans.

I'm going back through the pern books via audiobook now so I can listen at work.

I'm sure no one minds old threads cropping back up. New posts to read are always fun.
