Elizabeth has written to the domain broker to get her old and frozen site (elizabethkerner.com) taken off the air so the URL can point to the new site. I hope that has nothing to do with any problems.

I can access both sites successfully.

P.S. It looks like Elizabeth has bought a new tower fan. She's made her own following wind...

Does it actually get that kind of hot in Scotland...that a fan is needed?

I don't know why, but I just can't imagine that kind of heat there...cold yes...but not heat!!!

Right, due to Elizabeth having had Mexican flu (I use the Dutch term as I refuse to use the term 'swine flu' in combination with such a kind, generous and beautiful woman; yes dear I know you're blushing now, it suits you) which also took a goodly time of recuperation, it has been quiet of late on the news page of her website.

But... as you now rightfully surmise, that has changed!

So, get your finger ready to click and feast your eyes to Elizabeth Kerner's News Page

Oh, my friends, I just have to tell someone! (Well, Steven knows already, but he's asleep!)

I have finally heard her. Lanen. She has been so long silent I feared that she had deserted me altogether and I was going to have to send this book in with no more than a distant echo of her voice. I have finally heard her, tonight, and she is strong and opinionated (as usual!) and so very much herself.

I know I probably sound insane, but oh, I am so hugely relieved! Shame there's not a 'dances in bliss' smilie... tra la!

Thanks folks. Me too, eann, I was so scared. I bet REAL writers don't get scared that their characters have buggered off forever...do they? I mean, do you? Or is it just because I'm still fairly new at this lark...?

Sometimes you sort of need to interview them, Elizabeth, and ask them what they think about this or that happening. Or reread what they've said earlier. But what are you talking about, "real writers"? You ought to know what real writers do because you are one. Series are hard, especially when there's years between books.

thanks eann - because of the large hiatus between my last book and this lot, I stopped thinking of myself as a writer. However, after this last weekend of intense plotting with a pal down in Reading, I no longer have that qualm! And I 'heard' from a character I completely had not anticipated - like a news flash, while I was sitting on a bus in the English countryside for goodness' sake! Whee!

Thanks, Ginny, I'm feeling much better.

Default How's your tessitura doing, m'am?

After the horrible time at the end of last year and the first month of this one, a time in which Elizabeth battled that old sly dragon we call flu, she regained her strength, refound her humour and restarted keeping us poor readers informed about progress and the odd happenings in the life of one of our favourite authors. Those homely and interesting bits we so love to read about and about which every author I know thinks that we cannot possibly be interested in them...

So a mere few weeks later resuming the updates on her website our dear Lanen is back with a March installment you shouldn't miss! Read all about Elizabeth's amazing tessitura that might help shape the melodic contour of the new Kolmar books and will certainly contribute and lend it's strength to the texture of Elizabeth's writing.

Did I get you curious?
Then, stand not upon the order of your going, but go at once.

Elizabeth already gave the good news in another thread in here but there's even more good news (albeit mostly good-for-me-news) in the new entry on the newspage of her website.
