77th World SF Convention, Dublin - MoM attendants

Well, I just booked an apartment in Dublin and paid the membership fee for the convention. Already excited even though it is still almost a year away


From a Pern facebookgroup I know about several MoM members who said they will also be attending but I'll see if they chime in themselves.


It might also be a chance for me to finally meet people I have known or corresponded with for sometimes 15+ years. It's been 11 years ago already that some of us met up at Eurocon in Copenhagen... time flies. It will be fantastic to see some of you again.



And I can't help thinking how Anne McCaffrey would have loved having the World SF Convention on her doorstep! I might arrange to visit her grave to place some flowers there.

I have my membership and have a "reserved" room at the Spencer Hotel - v expensive but as it's the nearest one to the convention and my birthday being the 14th I'm treating myself

It'll be so nice to see you again!
And you already know that Steven and Elizabeth are coming.
We'll be staying in an apartment not too far away from the convention centre. I've also arranged we'll be meeting up with Gigi for a drink though I don't know when or where yet.
