Default Planets of the 9 Star League

What planet in the 9 Star League would you like to live on? Clarf (or another 'Dini world), Earth, Deneb, or another planet?

I think I'd like to live on Deneb. It's not over populated, has lots of open space and greenery left. Alot like Earth before it got to over developed.

Anywhere except Capella, their methody ways make me itchy. However, they can't be all bad, as they gave us Afra. I think I'd even like to be among the people working to reclaim a Hiver planet for humans and 'Dinis.

I'd like Deneb, I think. Sounds like a beautiful place with pioneer spirited people.

Hmm, I'm thinking Altair too, with Deneb as a back-up choice.

My first leaning is towards Deneb, the whole pioneer thing with the ponies and the wide open spaces... probably Altair second for similar reasons to those mentioned by others

I can't make my mind up about the 'Dinis, they sound kinda cute but also a bit weird (that breeding thing for example) I'm not sure I'd want to live on one of their worlds.

Would definately not want to live on Capella (too methody and the whole thing with the honour and dishonour when Afra and Goswina are young on Capella always makes me uncomfortable) or Earth (I haven't actually read the Talents of Earth series, just the Tower books, but I seem to recall reading some blurb about slavery or something in that era on Earth?)

Hmmm, I think I'd go for Deneb too, it's a little like New Zealand being one of the last countries to be colonised and sparesely populated... aaaahhh

First choice would be Deneb - second Altair - I just think it would be really neat to see a planet hanging over your head.

I completely agree. Although Deneb would be more like home to me. So much undeveloped country and all.

Iota Aurigae

It's wild, informal yet not such "homebodies" as the Denebians. And from Anne's description, I think it might be the more beautiful world...

Another one for Iota!!!

I also wouldn't mind colonising one of the new planets they set up at the end of the series. My memory isn't bumping up any names, so I'm afraid I may have to rely on someone else who has recently read TTatH!!!

Hm, not sure, myself...probably not Capella, though. And, um, which is the high-gravity one? Betelgeuse?

I think those new planets were named for battles? Seem to remember Waterloo and Iwo Jima.

I don't think I'd like to live on Deneb as that would be a very hot place to live indeed, as it is the primary star.....Deneb VIII however would be very comfy

I would vacation on Altair as the descriptions of Favor Bay were quite enticing.

Two cents-ically yours,

MMV
