You'll have to deal with the link. I got no clue how to post pictures here.

Poor Ruth looks a bit green.

Twenty-three languages I think was the last count (I'm about halfway).

1 English
2 Dutch
3 French
4 German
5 Polish
6 Spanish
7 Portugese/Brazilian
8 Russian
9 Chinese
10 Thai
11 Turkish
12 Hebrew
13 Hungarian
14 Bulgarian
15 Serbian
16 Croatian
17 Italian
18 Danish
19 Swedish
20 Finnish
21 Japanese
22 Estonian
23 Tsech

There is a possible version of The Smallest Dragonboy in Greeek but I haven't seen or traced down a printed version yet. Anne also mentioned Korean once to me but I haven't found a source/trace of that.

The newer hebrew books (like the one mouse linked to) have been around for a few years. Ship Who Sang and Crystal Singer were translated prior to Pern in hebrew. The book offered (through the eBay link) is far too expensive though.

Hmmm... that size its rather fuzzy

This is my archived pic

And the cover of Dragonflight

There is a earlier/older hardcover of Dragonflight. Now for that I would gladly pay$25! This pic is of the copy in Anne's personal collection.

You read (hebrew) from the back to the front of the books, so to speak, opening book/pages from left to right, so the front cover art is on the left!

Pretty sure I've seen most of these lanugages come up on ebay. On accident of course. I don't go looking for them.

I do like the Hebrew Ramoth.

I find that hard cover art very intresting! First they've got a bit and reins in Ramoth's mouth and a blond Lessa's sitting on the wing! Ack!
Thanks for the pic Hans!

Your picture is much clearer Hans (mine was pulled from the auction that JJMouse linked to). I think I'll just delete it!

And what is Lessa doing on Ramoth's wing? Even if she could support the weight there, it'd cripple her ability to fly as she can't flap and let Lessa fall.

I just saw you note and complely agree with you. Perhapes on a differnt type of you may have to. But not with Pern one.

A dragon from "Jouster" to commuicate with them on which way to go, as I say before I would be ing too.

One of Anne McCaffrey co-writer own works. Trying write it down is a hard, she work with Anne on one of the 'Branship' books the 'Ship who Searched' I think. I dislike when I lose my spot and forget which thread I was on.

Some are in Braille for people who can read it here in the USA the Libary of Congress and several other place too. Crackshells Cold finger make it hard to type with a sticky keyboad on top of it too.

I was talking on the phone a few weeks ago to our local WI lending libary for talking books. She told me who ever recorded 'Dragonflight' the first time around did a bad job when it came to ' in the name (F'lar as sample word) so they had to send it back and have it re-recorded. Now that problem is fixed.
FYI: These are special tape record books on cassete tape with a specal player. On a slower speed and on 4-side of each tape (normal you can only record on two sides of the tape). They are made so people with low or no vision or have other problems can ejoy hear some read the words so they can ejoy it too. This is a program done by the USA goverment. It is (c) and is done with ok with the orginal writer publisher etc.

By the way I am re-read "Beastmaster's Planet: A Beast Master Omunibus" by "Andre Norton" (r) 2005 by her. It can sometime take a while to bring the book from print to tape.
Webmaster and Members I noted here as an example, also as people know what I reading. I read the SFBC (r) first but with my vision is differnt from day to day and regular print is get too small. Trying to find large print is hard too.

I said I'd gladly pay $25 dolars for the hardcover Dragonflight.
There is one up n eBay right now, at... wait for it... $60 ex postage.
I know it is rare but I can't help but thinking a second hand bookschop in Israel might have one for $10
The hebrew market isn't one I'm familiar with, so I'll do a lot of snooping before I'd buy the one offered

Sorry, Julie, I can't follow you. Are you collecting foreign languages too? Have you bought hebrew books? I don't understand what you mean, and then you paste the link I referred to earlier (without the actual link)... and why in your defense? You really got me stumped.

I eBay everyday but obviously not as well as you do, but then of course, I am just a beginning collector and haven't got the extreme collection you have, yet. Maybe you'd like to share some data and pictures with us sometime, now that would be a real treat.

And yes I am at another eBay than you are but I'm also on the same. I noticed, soo after I started eBaying, the listings are different when I log onto ebay.com. I'm normally using ebay.nl but I reglarly login on several of the European ones because I know the listings can be different. I might miss something because I don't check all of them every time, but such is life. I can't buy every (AMC related) object I find on eBay anyway

I realise this is a bit off topic, Hans but ebay.com is the USA version then ebay.com.au is Australian, ebay.com.uk is the English version etc. Hope that helps you out a little to understanding the in's and out's of ebay. I've been to the US (our resident ebay seller Promed), UK (looking for "Chalet School" books) and Aussie versions of ebay.

And what's even more, Jube, ebay.nl is the Dutch version, and ebay.fr the French, ebay.it the Italian and ebay.pl the Polisn. Ebay.de the german, ebay.be the Belgian and ebay.es the Spanish. Just to name a few European ones.

Outside Europe it gets trickier, ebay Brazil is http://www.mercadolivre.com.br/?_trksid=p3907.m35
and ebay Argentina is http://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/?_trksid=p3907.m35

Drat, posting the list is much easier...

Argentinië | Australië | Oostenrijk | België | Brazilië | Canada | China | Frankrijk | Duitsland | Hongkong | India | Ierland | Italië | Korea | Maleisië | Mexico | Nederland | Nieuw-Zeeland | Filipijnen | Polen | Singapore | Spanje | Zweden | Zwitserland | Taiwan | Thailand | Turkije | Verenigd Koninkrijk | Verenigde Staten

And yes, I virtually check them ALL (just not every day)

So, this tells you I probably already knew about different eBay sites, as I thought I wrote in my post to JJ

Since we're on the eBay topic........if you check the 'Worldwide' box on eBay.com does anyone know if you get results from all the different countries so you do have to go to each country individually? I know that when I check it the results sure go a lot higher.

If I do so, Becky, I get results from all over the world. But... I think it will only show you the objects about of which the foreign sellers have not specifically said they will not send abroad.

So, if they did not specify they won't sell outside their own coutry you will see the object even if they only list their own country as the one they will send to.

Sorry about the mix up. Hans and send PM to you. could not leave a general message for your.

Thank for the quote.

I am just starting to read Braille. So I can write, it. My handwrite is hit and miss along with my sight. (Along with slow e-mail by the way)

People can learn how to read Braille by sight in or to communicate with people like me or have no sight at all. Just take a look on line.

Han so is Amazon.com too.
"The Pern Museum & Archives is the home of the Pern Encyclopedia and the Pern Bloodlines"
I copy it so I get your site right. The entryway into the Museum to great so is the entry way to the diffent rooms it good too, By the way I have a copy of the Smithcraft hall from the 'Atlas of Pern', I made a Black/White Copy for my own use in trying to undersand at the time I was read the Pern books. It was my local libary copy so I had to return it to have is re-glue for some of the pages fell out complete while I had it. Not by my reading it me just how old the book was getting.
I was at the UW-O campus for help with my hearing aids, and found about her death much later and unable to e-mail out to send her family my regets. I know the feeling my own mom and friend died from a brain growth (can't spell today) Mom they tried to treat but too late, and my friend was a creater of art in metal making models of things. His was unremoveable. I miss them so much soon is my birth day and a firend died just before our fly-in last year and I miss them all.

I don't depend on what I doing.
Also I use a black background with white letter to read screen.
Right now the screen read I do have drive me batty after a while so I don't use it, the screen reader that they have today do have some problem trying to read web pages so I do not use when I am typing to check on my typing.
I hope soon to be able to get a program that well give me feedback on my keyboad typing, American Printing House For the Blind (r) KY USA

On top of that I do have a bit of a spelling and english problem. Having your eyes work on and not have a teacher for a while slow me down. Also made me loss some schooling when the basic are learned. I been told that a lot.
What I was try to explan is how one way they can make the line rased so fingers can read them. It is cost a lot to get hold of the equpment need to do that.

If you go to www.aph.org you can get more information than I have or use your search ablity online.

Try searching for Anne McCaffrey here:

Thanks Lily

I know I have been to the site you mention in the past but I must admit I don't buy that often in Australia and New-Zealand.

Ow...white on black--isn't that harder? Kills my eyes to try reading light text on dark backgrounds (but I'm prone to aura migraines.)

I think Ginny is trying to say she made a black and white copy of the image of the SmithHall.
But sometimes white text on black isn't too bad as long as the letters are big, for me. Each person is different.

Hey, Ginny, don't feel too bad about your writing, at least you can use capitals and periods. I know people who can't even do that.

There was a program in the UK, a sort of reality show for opera singing and there was a lady there who was blind and she used a black screen with white notes in order to read the music.
I know that the RNIB used to use white lettering on a blue background when they had a school at Condover.

White is an encroaching colour: so white lettering appears larger than black lettering of the same size.

Some people find white lettering on a darkish blue background easier than on black. There's slightly less contrast, which for borderline/impaired vision can be a plus.

When I was "doing" medical art, we had to do all our lecture slides on blue diazo film as this also makes the changes from black-and-white X-rays to full colour photos less of a problem.
