Default Lunacy from a Trekker

Yep, besides being a Journeyman Smithcrafter, I am a Trekker. "Peace and Long Life" to you all.

I have just come across this from being at the STFans site. It is called Stone Trek ! This link takes you to an Angel Fire page but I have a pop-up blocker and I had no problem with DSL to watch the episodes. I rolled all over the floor laughing at these!

At another Star Trek site, you can see comic strips of The Trek Life about Carl . . . and his facination with Star Trek.

Another site! Star Trek: New Votages. I've seen only two of the episodes and part of a third (at this time). I thought I wouldn't like different actors playing beloved characters. But I was fooled. They are true to the character and not trying to be the actor playing the character. Another fact: this is all done on a volunteer basis with Paramount sanction and no profit is made.

I'll post others as I find them.

Have any of you seen this before?

IF DR. SEUSS WROTE FOR STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION

Picard: Sigma Indri, that's the star,
So, Data, please, how far? How far?

Data: Our ship can get there very fast
But still the trip will last and last
We'll have two days 'til we arrive
But can the Indrans there survive?

Picard: LaForge, please give us factor nine.

LaForge: But, sir, the engines are offline!

Picard: Offline! But why? I want to go!
Please make it so, please make it so!

Riker: But sir, if Geordi says we can't,
We can't, we mustn't, and we shan't,
The danger here is far too great!

Picard: But surely we must not be late!

Troi: I'm sensing anger and great ire.

Computer: Alert! Alert! The ship's on fire!

Picard: The ship's on fire? How could this be?
Who lit the fire?

Riker: Not me.

Worf: Not me.

Picard: Computer, how long til we die?

Computer: Eight minutes left to say goodbye.

Data: May I suggest a course to take?
We could, I think, quite safely make
Extinguishers from tractor beams
And stop the fire, or so it seems...

Geordi: Hurray! Hurray! You've saved the day!
Again I say, Hurray! Hurray!

Picard: Mr. Data, thank you much.
You've saved our lives, our ship, and such.

Troi: We still must save the Indran planet --

Data: Which (by the way) is made of granite...

Picard: Enough, you android. Please desist.
We understand -- we get your gist.
But can we get our ship to go?
Please, make it so, PLEASE make it so.

Geordi: There's sabotage among the wires
And that's what started all the fires!

Riker: We have a saboteur? Oh, no!
We need to go! We need to go!

Troi: We must seek out the traitor spy
And lock him up and ask him why?

Worf: Ask him why? How sentimental.
I say give him problems dental.

Troi: Are any Romulan ships around?
Have scanners said that they've been found?
Or is it Borg or some new threat
We haven't even heard of yet?
I sense no malice in this crew.
Now what are we supposed to do?

Crusher: Captain, please, the Indrans need us.
They cry out, "Help us, clothe us, feed us!"
I can't just sit and let them die!
A doctor MUST attempt -- MUST try!

Picard: Doctor, please, we'll get there soon.

Crusher: They may be dead by Tuesday noon.

*COMMERCIAL BREAK, COMMERCIAL BREAK
HOW LONG WILL THESE DUMB ADS TAKE?*

Worf: The saboteur is in the brig.
He's very strong and very big.
I had my phaser set on stun --
A zzzip! A zzzap! Another one!
He would not budge, he would not fall,
He would not stun, no, not at all!
He changed into a stranger form
All soft and purple, round and warm.

Picard: Did you see this, Mr. Worf?
Did you see this creature morph?

Worf: I did and then I beat him fairly.
Hit him on the jaw -- quite squarely.

Riker: My commendations, Klingon friend!
Our troubles now are at an end!

Crusher: Now let's get our ship to fly
And orbit yonder Indran sky!

Picard: LaForge, please tell me we can go...?

Geordi: Yes, sir, we can.

Picard: Then make it so!

It's always nice to come across a few more Star Trek fans (you find us in the strangest places, huh?! ) I've loved the show since the original series, actually the original is my favorite. I went to a couple of conventions in NYC in the mid '70's. What fun! Most of the cast would come, as well as Gene Roddenberry and quite often Isaac Asimov. I wish I'd gotten myself a Tribble in one of the dealers' rooms, I've kicked myself ever since for missing out on that! I do have a watch and a couple pendants.

Nichelle Nichols was at Dragon*Con this year. She is just as beautiful and talented as always, and if anything, her singing has gotten even more rich and sultry!

What's really bizarre about the Dr. Seuss thing is that I can hear the voices of the actors saying those silly lines!

Especially this line:

Worf: Ask him why? How sentimental.
I say give him problems dental.

Okay. I was with my hubby and son at this Chinese buffet when I noticed a lone gentleman reading as he ate. He had a hard-bound graphic novel. I was trying to look past my son to see what he had. It looked like Data was on the cover. After much rubber-necking, i finally just came out and asked him what he was reading. Sure enough, he had a ST:TNG comic novel that takes place during the Dominion War. We got to talking about this, that, and the other. We all went back to noshing. As he left, he plopped a napkin down in front of me. It contained the following joke:

What do you get when you genetically combine a Tribble with a Ceti Alpha V Eel?

Cbs in their infinite stupidity is shutting down the site StarTrek.com. I do not know if they are going to hype the new film on a new site or they got bored. I have no idea where the strip "A Trek Life" will end up. It has been posted on a regular basis at a site I belong to StarTrekFans.net. I am Healer T'Lynne there.

I haven't even been to see it ! *tantrum*
I have read about it, but never see it either. I hope that they can set up shop somewhere where other can enjoy it.

Thanks for the links by the way. I have enjoyed reading them.

I finally watched all of Star Trek; Of Gods and Men. Got to see some people on there trying to pick out who had played what where and such. Not bad for actors and crew doing it out of love. Yeah, Paramount says they can't make any money doing this . . . Everything is done with donations (or what they can beg borrow or steal!) and no one gets paid.

Keep 05/08/2009 wide open (US release date). . .
Watch the cameras at the spacedock - use the slides below the screens to clear the pictures . . .
Teaser Trailer here . . . it gives me goosebumps!

How in the wide, wide world of Trek, did I miss this thread.
I had to show it to Martin, when he got home today...and we both fell of our chairs laughing at all the different links that everyone has put up in here. Most of them he had seen before...several times. I on the other hand had not...and really enjoy them all.

P.S. Cherlyn...HOLY COW your last entry is a WOWZER...as even Martin hadn't seen that one, he has seen one other one though. Both of us can hardly wait for this new movie to come out. Thank you from both of us here, for sharing

P.P.S....looks like I need to pay more attention to the Game room on MoM
