Default Eurocon 2007 - lots of pictures

Hi everyone,

If you want to see lots of pictures taken by different people go to http://eurocon2007.dk/conrep/.

However, I am a little biased, as I think the very best pictures have already been posted in this forum

There are some good pictures of Anne McCaffrey in the Billeder i Fantastiks galleri. Some of Anne signing books and some where she is in a book stand.

Furthermore, you can see blogs by different people, and some videos (not with Anne, however).

If any of you, who have uploaded pictures, wish to share with everyone, you can mail the url links to the webmaster at this address:

webmaster@eurocon2007.dk

Blast. And I can't even figure out how to kill him, er, um, I mean, gently correct his mistaken impression that I am in fact someone else entirely.

ARGGGH! I get one panel, just ONE panel in the whole con, and that only because you good folks (notably Hans and Lady M) agitated for it, and the twonk gets my name wrong!

Harumph. gonna go sulk. (or possibly sleep...)

Oh how annoying Lanen!

Perhaps one of our German-speaking members could drop the blog owner a line to get it corrected?

Immediately tried that, Cheryl, but the comments function for that entry of a few days ago) was not available.

Er, isn't it a picture of the back of Anne's head ? I'm waiting to see Sara's video. I think Sara is just behind Anne's left elbow in that picture.

But yes, who is the guy on the left and where is his video

Steven, Even though it is only the back of Anne's head...it is such a touching moment between her and Hans...that I want to add it to collection of photos of Anne. It is also a much better way to remember that so call Banquet!!!

Since it was my picture, I've searched my other pictures to see if there are any clues, and I found this gem:

Hurray! I did get a picture of Sara and Anne at the same time.

Here's a close up of the mystery man (sorry it's not a good picture of you Hans ):

Does anyone recognise him? Who has some fantastic photo processing software that will allow us to read his badge? Or perhaps I'm overdoing it...

Lady M, if you like the photo I can send you the full-sized version. And I can send the other version to you, Sara, if you're interested.

Steven (or Kevin as the EuroCON blogs would have you believe... )

The mystery man seems to have the same type of badge that Anne had. Were they color coded? Does that mean he is "Somebody"?

The green colour means he is either a contributor to the programme or a volunteer (Elizabeth had a green badge and I noticed the volunteers had them as well). If he's an official photographer perhaps his pictures will appear somewhere?

But it looks like Sara had just as good a view of the presentation as the mystery man had, so we may not need his video.

I just realised that if we used sophisicated software to read his badge we would discover the word "Banquet". His hands are covering his actual name .

Or maybe it wouldn't say "banquet", perhaps he signed up for something else and crashed the banquet? It's not like they checked our badges when they finally let us in the room...

But such software only exists in Hollywood imagination; if a photo doesn't have enough resolution in the first place, no amount of computer interpolation will recover it.

Maybe Knud knows...

My next one will b e better. I got some pointers from family members regarding my next 'filming' foray. It was a bit jerky, but I blame that on my knee twitching. -Chuckles-

Hans apparantly received the CD today, so it's all in his hands now. (Literally!)

I've given permission for MoMers to have a CD copied. I think it'll have most of the bits I took, with that Banquet near the end of it. It'll be about 7-10 minutes long I think.

I can't wait to see your video, Sara. Could the portion showing Anne's presentation be posted here via Photobucket (perhaps that's more a question for Hans)?

Thanks for making the CD.

Working on converting it, Steven. 179Mb for almost 4 minutes is a bit too large for the bucket and people to download But your suggestion is a sound one and I'm already looking into things!
