Hmm... err... they're my lightish reading too. DLS far less than Agatha Christie.

Have you seen the Wimsey papers?
They're not in print but someone has archived them online

Maw: she's sleeping on the floor in Tammy's room? I'd have thought that sleeping in a stable was more seasonal! LOL

Guess what I saw on a car today?

We went looking at modular homes over the weekend. We found one that we LOVE. It has a huge kitchen breakfast nook, that can be closed off, huge great room, very large mast. bed, total of 3 beds down stairs and we can get an attic on it which can be made into bedroom.

Having a very large mast. bed means that Mom will have plenty of space for her needs and for the power chair to move in. Being able to close off the kitchen is important when you have around 2o cats. We have several who live in the kitchen, it would be very nice to be able to cook without them getting in the way. The kitchen has lots of counter space so we can leave our kitchen gadgets out. (bread maker, can opener, fryer, croc pot, ect..) It will also have a dishwasher.

I just hope we can get the bank to go for it.

If your bank's been nationalised you COULD ask if it is tax deductable on the grounds that your tax bill is really your mortage repayment!

(There's a really rude story going round over here, which I won't reprint cos Kibbie might see it, about what Fanny May and Freddy Mac have been getting up to behind the 'Bushes')

I'll take a cider, mawra, thank you.

Way things are going we'll need to put a nursery in here somewhere . . . or an instant teleporter to an off-site one?

I know it is Thanksgiving in the US on Thursday but it gives others the good excuse to celebrate with us! We get to celebrate with you when your area has Thanksgiving so it is good manners to allow it.
Shall I have the US contingent make their usual meal offerings or make it potluck and everyone bring about 3 dishes ?

Regional or personal favorite... I am sure Cheryl won't mind if we go ahead and make up some stuff from what we have in stock:

Howzabout some Pernese Pizzas? What would like as your 'indigenous' toppings?

I'd like some smoked yellowfin to start with ....

They're from the Crystal Singer series.

If I remember aright (books are close but in boxes) they're described as being peppery.

I am feeling a bit guilty tonight. Kibbie managed to put some huge scratches on the computer monitor screen and we are making her pay for it with the 100 dollar gift card she gets from her Grandmother. She will also be having a yard sell and selling off some of her things. I know she has to held accountable for her actions. But I still feel guilty. She also is not aloud on the computer for a LONG time.

Ouch! But you can't afford to just replace the monitor if it breaks.

Teenagers don't do bored very well.

I can't imagine how anyone could "accidentally" do damage like that. It's important for Kibbie to take responsibility for her actions, accidental or not. Long years ago I had a similar situation with my daughter and a broken light (pane of glass) in the front door. I replaced it myself with a pane of glass that cost about a dollar, near as I remember, but I held back her allowance for two weeks just to make the message clear.

Brings in branches trimed from wild holly trees. Oh look! There's some mistletoe sprouting out of that one. The whole woods is full of that stuff.
